    No you don't have to leave a bubble.
    First of all, mix your water and glycerin with the mica powder and non chunky glitter before pouring into your globe. Secondly, use a piece of plastic or Plexi glass as your seal for the bottom, it's easy to cut out of an old cd or cassette case or anything really, plastic is everywhere. Cut your base a little bit bigger than the hole, make a hole in it, big enough to fit the end of a pipette or a medicinal plunger through, you can do this by heating up a screw or a nail and melting the hole into your plug, then glue that on with your UV resin, you can still cover the entire surface area of the plug with the UV resin, except your hole, leave that open, then fill the water in your ball until it's at the very top of your plastic plug with a pipette and plug your hole with a uv resin plug the way you do yours in this video.

    I absolutely love this idea!!! 💀The Wickkit's comment about the plug is what i was going to suggest as well. I was also going to suggest using baby oil instead of water and glycerin. That is what i use to make my shakers. Using babyoil and glycerin makes a really cool effect as well! You can colour the glycerin using resin dye and it will have a lava lamp effect 😀

    Loved this! Thank you! Just a thought, what if you do a line of resin around around the rim and then put the resin circle on and cure?

    From what I understand you have to have the bubble for it to work right because when I fill shakers I leave a bubble that’s how it was taught

    No idea if the purple could be cos the glitter can clump together but I'm sure I seen on another you tube some time back someone said to add to tiny bit of alcohol in with the glitter and it stops it from clumping together
    🤔🤷‍♀️
    I made one with where and baby oil. Recently bought some vegetable glycerine as I want to try some shakers for christmas

    How does the resin not go down around the ball? Did you use clear resin first to secure the ball?

    • @Redlotusresin
      @Redlotusresin  6 месяцев назад

      Yes! Clear first around the ball, let that harden then add whatever color resin you want! I also have a better video showing the process in a snail mold.

    How much resin did you use at the beginning for the bauble? First time wanting to make one and I'm scared I'm going to mess it up 😅😢

    • @Redlotusresin
      @Redlotusresin  8 месяцев назад

      The amount of clear resin used in the beginning depends on how much of the"globe" effect you want to see. I usually fill my mold about 3/4 of the way up with clear and then do the last part with a color. Hope that helps!
