Is it possible to create dichroic glass "at home" I'm a glass artist that's been getting into chemistry (hydrometallurgy) lately and wanted to attempt to make high heat dichroic glasses
Sorry if this is a stupid question but is this the same Dichroic glass I buy for blowing glass ? I'd love to make my own. It basically looks just like window tint ....but if it works, then it works

It’s the same GENERAL idea as what ur talking about/basically all “dichroic glass” I can find on the entire internet, but it seems to be a VERY different type/aspect, and while it may not be “prettier”/more colorful, and more flamboyant, than the type ur talking about, it’s still WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY cooler, and I want to know more about, and hopefully find stuff with THAT type of dichroic glass, to get!!!!

Very awkward presentation. Makes it difficult to sit through. I am not trying to be mean. I would appreciate the same constructive criticism on my videos, honestly. I think it would be less awkward if the girl talked like she does when she talks to her friends, and family, and not this fake cheerful act. Also, maybe rehearse the lines a few times, or try moving your head slightly, to offset your eyes having to dart back and forth while reading the script. It helps if you record shorter segments, until you start getting more fluid with script memorization. That helped me a lot, when I used to make a TV show with a friend on the Maui local access channel called Akaku. But I have to say, this is so awesome. To see young people being entrepreneurial, and living their dream, is freaking awesome! I bet your parents are really proud of you. That's really cool.😊😊
I'm curious about using the film on a 6" diameter 20 sided die. They weigh between 1 and 10lbs, but on average 2-3lbs. Can the film stand up to repeated impacts if the die itself is abrasion resistant?
Hey Jessica, first let me say you are super pretty. So pretty, that I can’t pay attention to what’s going on behind you or focus on what you’re saying. I think for the first part of the vid it’s alright to be visible, but maybe just do a voice over only for the rest of it, that way viewers like me aren’t distracted by how pretty you are the whole time lol.

The dichroic glass that we sell is architectural grade, it's probably not the same as what you are using. I recommend getting a sample to check.

Pretty sure that would be a no! It has the same properties as window tint film, which is a type of plastic. It will melt, into ashes...
You cannot heat up the film, but we also offer dichroic glass!

That's a great question! If you place the film on a mirror, you won't be able to see through the film as if you would be able to on glass.
But also, urban outfitters makes these. Visibility is reduced but lighting effects are beautiful.
And how do we make dichroic cube?
You could order 6 pieces of the glass and connect them together via a frame, or other materials!

Yes the dichro will come off if it’s scratched or chipped. Who is rolling a 6 inch die?!!

It's actually more of a color-effect glass. We have other films (two way mirror films) that are better for privacy.
