Even though my collection is well-rounded, they always touch either around a vanilla, lavender, a tobacco note or with a cedarwood/vetiver/patchiouli [sp] for the dry downs. I'm getting this Valentino bottle for the fall later but next for me is the YSL Y EDP 🙂

The pregnant one told me "You're driving me crazy, what is this so I can buy it for my idiot fiance?" lol. The dry down on this is absolutely beautiful. It makes me think of a purply-orange sunset on a beach.

Back in October 2021 you and your partner-in-crime Sandra Solomon Fragrance rated and ranked the entire Valentino Uomo line. Back then you ranked the top three in descending order as Noir Absolu, Born in Roma, and Intense. What rating would you guys give this new flanker compared to those previous releases? Thanks.

I actually talked to Sandra about this today and we said we would try to do a new comparison between them all or in some way get a comparison going between the new Coral Fantasy and maybe Born in Roma, etc. 😊 Will most likely be done next week or the week after that 😊Keep your eyes out for that one 😊
Actually wore it yesterday and the opening is bright citrus fruits especially that tart apple 🍎! Which automatically reminded me of ysl y live very similar on my skin. But as it started to dry down there's this musty and powdery combination that starts to happen Which isn't pleasant at all ! ( a bit dirty) at this point the scent was better in the air than up close" projection was pretty solid for the first 30 to 40 minutes then had a decent scent bubble for a good 7 hour's and longevity is about 8 to 9 hour's on skin. Unfortunately it's a pass for me due to the way the mid to dry down smells " just seems like some of the fragrance notes just aren't blended well enough.

i'm only getting the lavender note and the tobacco, but not the apple. which is so strange because when tested it in the store, i could smell the apple very prominently :(

I bought it on release day directly from Valentino website and to be honest it dont impress me much! Even I wasnt expecting u to make a video on it coz its so average! It smells familiar like one of Invictus flanker! I love Valentino fragrances but igs time for them to present thier own fragrance rather than editing one which exist in market ! Dior homme intense edited by Valentino uomo intense , born in roma copy of invictus + le male n now coral fantasy!
So is this a return to form for Valentino? I have been very disappointed with recent releases from the Uomo line. The EDT, Intense and Noir Absolu are all fantastic and the Aqua smells great despite the poorer performance. The quality has serious declined since with some rather sweet and generic releases. I just can't see it getting anywhere near Intense etc. I may need to sample it in store. Oh and I love tobacco.
Hi Sandy! I do agree that the EDT, Intense and Noir Absolu are AMAZING. But I do not think they have released anything bad. They are all GOOD fragrances, with a varying degree of good 😉 It's hard to find any "non frag head" that would dislike any of them 😊 With that said, Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy (to me) is currently more interesting than Born in Roma. Do not expect it to be an intense kind of tobacco (some of my friends barely notice that part of it). That part is very warm, soft and sweetish in this one, but it does make the whole blend A LOT more interesting and to me a lot more attractive. Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy is not something mind-blowing, but I think it smells great and it does have a very attractive scent profile that is also mass appealing. If you remember, please do drop back into this convo if you ever put your nose to it and let me know how you feel about it 😊👍

It came across as a sickly, sweet mess. The name is absolutely awful too - sounds like an unfortunate accident in your pants. Coral Fantasy is an improvement but the recent names lack sophistication although saying all that I am willing to give the new release a chance.

i did buy it day 1 , a big 100ml bottle , very synthetic , huge teenager scent with not good sillage , way behind the UOMO INTENSE !!!!

Valentino Uomo Acqua is a nice scent! But yeah, it’s a bit on the weak side so I always bring an atomizer with me
