Nice job, and I love the stick definition on the ride. I like the same type of sound. It has to be a heavy ride and giessing nylon tip sticks like I use always.stick definition is important to me on the ride and hi hats. I don't care that people think wood tip is the way to go. I totally disagree and will never change to wooden tips. If you are using wooden tips, than that ride cymbal is a gem, more than I already thought?
Thanks! I understand where you're coming from, but I use wood tips, and would never try nylon tips, as they make a mess on heads and cymbals. Yes, that ride is a gem [Zildjian K Custom Session Ride], but the sticks I use are gems to me as well. I use Remo Oak 5A Rebound Wood Tip sticks... don't knock'em until you try'em LOL. Oak sticks are a little more costly, but well worth the extra cost. You may defend the sticks you're using now, but you should wonder why you're not getting the sound you want from wood tip sticks. I argue it's the type of wood and balancing of the sticks.
@@flacche, used wood tips before, and they are fine until the definition of the ride and hihat. But you have a good point, I guess a harder wood, and a more rounded tip could give me more definition on the ride and hihat? I didn't know that nylon tips could affect the cymbals in a negative way?
Patrik Fekete Thanks Patrik! No, the small drums are concert toms. They are made of wood, just like the larger drums. Octobans are typically longer and made of either metal or some composite material. Thanks again for watching!
