not particularly starkid but honestly i lowkey wish i was born a guy because guys have much cooler roles in broadway available to them yk like betelgeuse is a crazy epic character to play (shoutout to alex brightman for killing that role) and then there's characters like dewey finn (another shoutout to alex brightman) and jd from heathers, evan and jared from dear evan hansen, hamilton from hamilton ofc lmao, and so on. i mean it's kinda cool to have lydia, heather chandler (just my two favorite examples) and all that bc they're awesome but all the male roles are so much cooler and i'm jealous of guys vocal ranges. plus guys on broadway i feel typically get more recognition than women not in a sexist way or anything but it's just because they have such a wider variety in roles for males. along with the kind of like more recognition thing i feel like guys are the ones that can do all this hilarious comedic stuff and pull it off, sure the women can be bada*ses but i see more comedic roles that'll be taken seriously for men than women and i'd rather be comedic than bad*ss tbh i just wish i was alex brightman 😮💨
