The extra wait was worth it - progress just amazing. I believe this Landy is going to be the talk of the town, wherever that may be .. .. . .. LOL !! Waiting for the next video .. .. .. .. .. Best.
I am still in awe of what you are doing with this restoration. If I was ever silly enough to contemplate doing this I think it would go something like this. 1. Look at the vehicle, 2. Look at the rust. 3. Sit down and cry. 4. Drink a bottle of Scotch 5. Go fishing (some time later) LOL. Coming to you today from the Coaster in the tiny town of Yerecion.
Thanks Mr Foreman, an excellent job. You must be very satified. Love the ending with you being towed off into the sunset .... hopefully not to the local garbage dump!
Mr Foreman, once again you have impressed me greatly. Fabulous outcome, a fair slab of work that will prove tremendous value given an hourly rate of cents not dollars. Again your story telling, production values and offsetting your looks with guest appearances from Cricket & Whilms has produce a potential Oscar winning filum.
Part 29 is an altogether good show! 👍 Can't agree with your asserted lack of intellect, Gav, as it would be unkind to Summer. However I'll offer a heartfelt GOOD ON YOU, MATE, with regard to your fearlessness as a restorer of the 1957 Series 1 Land Rover, NIGHTMARE edition. 👍
Excellent epi~soda. Very exciting to sea your ardent diligent skilled artisans at work, being ably supervised by Krikkit. Gavin I forgot you have a twin helping too. Rarely do we get to experience one of your videos without mention of at least one fine~feathered flock, unless of course it involves a Marque oneus aluminimus beastaurus bestest. PS good to see how well those brakes work. Did they 'pull' either way a bit?, or did they behave themselves?. Summer you can take comfort that as I watched your video, it was pelting down here too.
hello... congratulations... excellent project... I've been following you since video 1... I love your project... I'm your fan... I have an LR series 3 88".. . and I'm also restoring it... hopefully one day... we can exchange ideas... or ask you for advice... Greetings from america ...
I’m very pleased with your progress, hope you’re happy too.I just love seeing people save these beautiful little creatures, and they can be enjoyed for years to come.Plenty of willing helpers there with you,and a love your tricky segments of film, they are really clever.Best wishes always 🙂
What did you do with the younger Foreman? Wilms has aged well though (like not at all) - Its been a while :) Hope all is well with you guys and thanks for another great vid.
I know this has been out for over a month, but I save these episodes up for special occasions, imagine my surprise to see Foreman in full safety gear, the overalls even look like they were pressed, and get a glimpse of usually camera shy Wilms and Cricket. The car is coming together quick now. My only query, do the tyres on the Landy have directional tread?
Greetings Mark. The tyres do, and they've all been put on the same way so at all times half of them are going backwards. They will be going to the dumpster towards the end which may be getting close now. Not sure what I'll replace them with yet but the local tire guy down the road restores old 4x4's so he'll be able to provide inspiration.
Nice to see it rolling again! Thx for the brief namecheck. I have had some issues adjusting my brake linkages to get full brake pedal travel and pressure without the drums dragging when the pedal is released. I had to make an extension going from the master cylinder push rod to join the pedal bracket. You seemed to get straight to a place that worked well. Luck or skill? 😊. One point of difference, your brake light switch is mounted below the bracket on the chassis. Mine is on top. Probably does not make much if any difference. But which is original? I was only guessing with mine. Btw - have you decided what you are going to do about the engine….?
Ahoy there Andy, I have brake drag and am in the process of adjusting and tinkering, so neither luck or skill on that front. Good to know you had the same issue. I mounted the brake light switch in the same place I found it so I'm unsure what is original either. The engine saga is still unresolved though the fellow I'm dealing with claims he's soon to start on them and it could be but a few months away. I'm not allowing myself to get my hopes up and may start on the V8 if it drags on too much longer.
I’m as proud and excited as if you were my son . Congratulations

22:10 That's a pretty curvy ... rain gutter. 😍
Great achievement!! Downhill from here I would say…perseverance and you will get there!!
Very nice project, brilliant videos…! Thank you.
A great and much anticipated update. Keep it up, mate.
Most entertaining and humorously serious. Or is that seriously humorous? Great job. 👍🏻🙏🦘
Very nice to see Wilms out in the shed giving you assistance. Land Rover is coming along nicely. Thanks for the video.
I'm jumping straight in with "BRILLIANT," right at the start. YEEHA!!!
Great job , on all fronts👍
Welcome back mate!!
Love your work mate.
Definately worth the wait. Well done Gav. Impressive sewing skills!
That's not a jigsaw puzzle - it's a dismantled Rubik's Cube. Well done, Gavin!!

Bulkhead turned out good. :)
Don't know how I missed this one. Great progress.
Thanks Michael. We're pretty sneaky channel and are skilled at going un-noticed.
Love your terminological finesse Gavin; "Searing all new, old and self fabricated panels into one Bulkhead and hoping for the best". :)
🙃🥰

Good to hear from you. How's life in the new place?

Mate- the pace has hit warp speed. Keep going! She’s coming up a treat!
There are som really awesome filming and editing skills going on here, in addition to all the mechanic stuff👍
Mr Foreman. You have the patience of a saint and the skill of a magician. Amazing video! Thankyou so much for sharing your journey. 🥇
Excellent work from Cricket and Wilms there. ... OH and some pretty good welding (IMO as a non welder) from Mr Foreman :)
Thanks Andy. The welding has improved a bit since my first feeble attempts. Wilms and Krikkit say G'day.

Excellent work, also great to see Wilms partaking in this series!

Wonderful ! I bet you could have been towed around your yard all day - such a milestone ❤
Congrats Gav. It must have been quite the feeling at the end to realise that this crazy project might actually succeed 👍
Welcome back Gavin! It's been a while...I'm surprised you remembered where you were up to with the old Landy! Clever job...tricky stuff!

Usually you adjust shoes against drums on all four corners then bleed system all round. But if your method works ehhh i guess it works aswell
Did you document the dismantling of the bulkhead? Looks like it was a mess and complex!
Please tell me that you are going to put the standard tires and rims 🙏🏻
"Too stupid to realize how far out of my depth i am"
Sounds familiar with this one person i know. Won't name names tho 😂😂
You have way too much patience sir !

I just noticed it’s RHD?? Was it an import?
I'm sure it was, the previous owner before me was an Englishman living in the States I'd hazard a guess he bought it over with him.
