      @thesingingairlinepilot Thank you! I really appreciate that. You're my favorite singing pilot! Actually, you're the only person I know who's a pilot and into music production.🙂

      @LesVegasMusic anytime Les!. Ha ha there are plenty of airline pilots who are musicians :) ive had some who bring violin or guitar on trips especially with a long layover. I myself bring my Apogee Duet 3 interface and cheapo amazon dynamic mic on trips for when inspiration calls. I've always enjoyed singing and thought why not get into it semi-seriously :) so about a year ago I started to learn to sing and also how to mix vocals to a 2-track... which of course is challenging getting my vocal to sit right in the mix. Although for now the mixing side takes up so much time it can be enjoyable and frustrating at the same time. It sure is a great way to save money though and learn perhaps one day a little side hobby hustle:). The only hardware in my possession is my Grace M101 Mic preamp, which I chose as I wanted zero coloration from my voice recordings. My go to mic on my collection is my Schoeps CMC5U with Mk4 capsule, extremely transparent with a very flat frequency response. All into my Apogee duet 3 line in then into Reaper. It's all a lot of fun but with the genre I choose to sing demands a lot of care and focus to sing well as I try not to use any compression and certainly try avoid using any vocal tuning. Your production Work It Out was really a lot of fun to watch:) if that's your daughter in the video that's so cool, I can't wait till my daughter features more on my channel, she already loves going to my vocal booth (downstairs bathroom) and pretending to sing:) she's 2 so I figure start her young and she'll be a huge star one day, at the very least we'll always enjoy singing together. Maybe one day you and I can work on something together :) feel free anytime to involve me on a project that requires vocals. Cheers Les!

      @@LesVegasMusic Thank you very much for your reply, I do appreciate it! Yes - but only if it's possible - I would like you to review one or both of the following reverb-plugins:
      a) Comet by Polyverse
      b) Seventh Heaven by Liquidsonics
      I own a few reverb-plugins already, but these two I heard at a friend's place knocked me out... However, maybe it was due to a good room or a good moment, so it would be precious to have your opinion of high competence about them.
      Eventually, the short excerpt of the pop-rock-song on this video here of the Avalon 747 sounds like a hit-song. Great in every way: great song, great singer and great mix. Is there a possibility to hear more of the singer or even to hire him (I produce own songs, too)?
      Thanks once again and all the best to you and your projects! Marcel

    Hey Les, great episode as always! I would be amazed if you would make a third episode of Avalon's shootout and compare nose-to-nose Avalone clones by Acustica UAD & Kazrog with analogue units. it would be a break through. CHEERS!

      @KLOVOrecords Kazrog Avalon VT-747SP plugin vs hardware video can be seen at the link below. I think you've already seen it, but I copied the link below just in case. Acoustica doesn't have a comparable plugin. They have Avalon emulations, but none emulating the VT-747SP. ruclips.net/video/wA7YSCSxQRE/видео.htmlsi=CrprvQp-iuyxeaUv

    The review is good, as always on top.
    I don't like 747.
    It seems to me that the high frequencies are too "sandy" A very specific sound.

    • @polyphoniki
      @polyphoniki 8 месяцев назад +1

      i have 747 for years. What you mentioned is close to my opinion. It is a specific sound that is not always does the thing you want for the song. But when it does it is unique. i use it mostly for acoustic music.
