- Mechagodzilla's creation and behind the scenes of the making for Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II in 1993 in the Heisei Godzilla series. Also showin Koichi Kawakita's direction for the suit actors on how to move around in the suits and do certain scenes.
You can also see Kenpachiro Satsuma practicing without the suit by throwing mechagodzilla.

This is not only the best Mechagodzilla ever, but the best mechanical character ever put to screen, i just love the design and the execution of this absolute masterpiece.

Fun Fact: The MG2 Suit was not built for close hand-to-hand fighting which humorously led to one blooper of them knocking off the head. To solve this, they mostly had the fights be ranged

I know by todays standards, some kid will say this looks terrible or cheesy. But i remember when i was a kid this looked amazing! And i honestly i still think it does look amazing. I wish a director would have the balls to a modern movie with minature practical effects.

Ever since I first heard of it in Godzilla vs. Biollante and again in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla one thing I had always wondered about is who came up with the idea of artificial diamonds being used as a theme for a defensive measure in a Godzilla film and another thing do artificial diamonds exist.
Yeah, artificial diamonds exist. They're just like natural ones but much cheaper.

I saw in another video that this Mechagodzilla suit is still around.
It's being stored in a warehouse, and it still looks to be in amazing condition.
Same can actually be said for the Showa Mechagodzilla suit as well

このタイプのFRPとかの着ぐるみって硬質なメカ感出せるけどスーツアクターにとっては
関節制限されるし重いわでめちゃくちゃ動きにくいそう
ジャイアントロボやレッドバロンや17もそうだけどぎこちない動きになるけど
それがまたメカ感出てプラスの方向の効果になるんだよなぁ

Design wise 90s era Mecha Godzilla was the most sophisticated but the very original 70s era version of Mecha Godzilla was the deadliest.The current Mecha Godzilla which featured in the remake of Godzilla vs King Kong movie looked like a pile of walking red LED lights stuck on a huge black spandex suit thus rendering this Kaiju to be a big fat joke in front of its older version.

How did you obtain these? These BTS didn't come with the blu-ray disc
They don't come with the english versions I have, but they do come with the Japanese bluray version of all the heisei godzilla films. Also including other things like deleted scenes, interviews and other interesting things.
The japanese blurays will also play on bluray players with region a, which includes the US and some other countries.

My guess is that was an extra suit they used for the destruction scene. Especially since the suit is still in a museum to this day.

It really had the potential to be the best, if only he could do more than to just beam
well he could do about as much as the original mechagodzilla if not more, he was able to fly, he was able to hover which the original did not have, he was able to shoot missiles, he was able to shoot stun missiles, he had the same lasers as the original mechagodzilla except slightly different. But his main difference he had was his g crusher which stabbed into godzilla and shocked him.
So I would say that he was the best mechagodzilla.

@@ReoGojira well it's pretty realistic though, in reality a robot just 20 feet tall wouldn't be able to move as fast like mechagodzilla 2 did. Especially since mechagodzilla 2 is more than twice the size and weight of the original mechagodzilla.
Also every time godzilla was close to him was when mechagodzilla was experiencing technical difficulties, but moguera was the next robot created that fixed those problems.

@@ReoGojira yes, but that doesn't mean that you can just have godzilla flying or doing the flying drop kick.
There are some realistic elements that can be added to a film instead of just saying that Godzilla isn't real so we can do whatever we want. That is what Godzilla vs Kong did and I think that is what leads to most of the problems in the film.

So I did watch Shin Ultraman a few days ago, and I still don't really know what to think of it. I did enjoy it, but it just felt a bit different.
what did you think of the animation.
@@GSTE_ I thought the animation for the kaiju was just as good as Shin Godzilla and while Ultraman's was also great in most places, it did look a bit weird sometimes.

@@BubbaUltra sorry I didn't respond sooner I was busy recently, but yeah I thought the animation looked kind of weird, I liked how they did it more in the 2000s ultraman films.

@@kiracollie7115 True, but missing 3 out of 3 films, compared to 1 out of 6 is a pretty big difference.
It's also different because he showed that he did not want to be faithful to character of Godzilla.
The Gamera series could turn out to be good, but I'm also not expecting anything special.
I could be wrong though since the trailer actually showed Gamera moving around, fighting, and having actual creative combat, (which is something Gamera hasn't had since the showa era) so it might turn out to be good.

Was MechaGodzilla 1974 more stronger then his 1975 form?? because I just realized, he was able to overpower Showa Godzilla in 1974
I would say that probably the 1975 version was stronger.
