I’m thinking of getting a BYB for exactly the reasons you spell out here... taking a bike with me when I go to visit friends and family in my (fairly small) car or when I get on the train to go somewhere. It’s only been since watching this video that I did a bit more research and discovered that the BYB is the model which folds down to the smallest size and until I saw this video I’d not realised that there was a hard travel case for it either (I’d seen the Brompton one in another video and loved the idea of a hard case designed specifically for a folding bike for long-distance travel).
@@simon_wolf_ It's a bike that came out right as COVID hit, so unfortunately it hasn't gotten as much coverage as it deserves! I should note, I did about 20 miles on it that day, and it rode beautifully. Super hilly areas I had to stand up due to the 1x8 gearing and the bike felt solid.

How does it ride in hills and on dirt/gravel roads?
