Really appreciate all the knowledge Randy. Just started fishing last year and found your channel early on. Been really trying to learn the why and how of it all and your vids have been an amazing help. This one particularly. Think it has given me some insight into the behavior of the bass in a small lake/large pond I have been learning. Thank you!
Just wanted to let you know, you are spot on with this video. Last weekend the bass didn’t want anything but the Zara spook puppy, but you couldn’t move it. Within 2 seconds of hitting the water with the spook, they hit it. Nothing else we used worked except for a couple dinks on the bank Lol. Biggest fish 4-5 pound range hit it. Sunny skies. Thanks for the video.
This is when this dude is an absolute boss when he's schooling us wit the tips my goodness straight boss. I just can't take the damn rants. The tips keeps me subscribed because they're Superior!
Absolutely true about drawing a fish up to a surface lure from deep water. Those fish looking up can see that lure just as we can see a dark cloud in our sky. You just need to make the lure look like something that's worth the fish's efforts to swim after it.
I remember fishing a tournament July 79 on Weiss lake Alabama. We weren’t doing any good. We went to the Dam around noon and we found clear water. I fished deep with jigs against the wall and my partner through out a buzz bait and I laughed at him. I said man, you aren’t going to catch them with a buzz bait in 30ft of water against the wall of the Dam, and about that moment he hung a 2LB spot. He hung about 3 more. I thought that was the strangest thing that I had witness bass fishing. He showed me for sure. lol
Great video randy. One of the smaller 65 acre lakes I hit because it is close has only 6-12" vis. Most the time, and standing trees, max depth only 8 or 9 foot. I hardly catch any bass deeper then about 4 foot in that lake, but there's is deeper treelines in that 5-8 foot range. Never catch any along the deeper trees, its always when I get toward the end of the line in shallower water.
How about a video on how to know if you have threadfin gizzard and or blueback herring in your waters I have people ask me all the time about it ? Where I live we have them all depending on where we fishing at
Thanks for the info Randy. I live in Anderson, SC and fish Hartwell almost everyday. What do you consider the clarity of Hartwell? In my estimation it’s 2-4ft in some spots and 6-8ft in others.
Hey Randy, I know you said if we click on the items it gets you .20. Is that for one item ? Or if I click on 4 or 5 of them each time. It gets you .20 per click ? Even if it’s on the same video ?
Almost everyone that fishes the top 5% of bass lakes in America thinks the greatest thing to happen to the sport is it growing. I’m not convinced, do you think lake decline is from too much pressure or not enough money being put back into the lake? Maybe a combination? I would love to hear your opinion.
How would you fish the following ultra clear man made reservoir - 70 ft visibility; max depth 180ft; average depth 80 ft; oxygen can support fish all the way to the bottom; 3,000 acres; built in the 1960's; standing timber has all disappeared; no creeks or inlets coming into the reservoir but there are underwater creek challels but very deep; no bait fish population but does have panfish and stocked rainbows; infertile with very little weeds; mostly rocky; has smallmouth; also has largemouth bass some over 10 lbs; two dams with rip rap; two deep coves with little weeds; thermocline at 35 feet.
Panfish and rainbows are baitfish. Here, DFG stocks rainbows just to feed the bass. Those channels are shallow where they enter the lake. There are streams, they’re just seasonal. Don’t get stuck on fishing for just one species. Panfish and trout are good eating, too.
@@ricksonora6656 Agreed Rick. I can catch all the rainbows (and panfish) I want anchored up at night over deep water. Lots of em and big ones. However, in over 15 years of doing so I have never once caught a bass - not one of either species. I'm not a bass fisherman - so actually I AM trying to not get stuck fishing for one species, namely rainbows and expand into bass.
@@charlierahner2141 Well done. Bass fishing is tough. I’m going to start focusing on finding crappie as a way to locate bass habitat. I have a fixed income that Biden is devaluing by over 10%/yesr, so I fish for food. If I can’t start making it pay off, I might quit next year. I can’t call myself a (successful) bass fisherman yet. But I finally turned the first corner when I focused on learning about bass behaviors. The second corner came when the Lowbrow Fishing channel taught me not to spend too much time on one place. It was kind of a “duh” moment for me because I had just figured that out fishing for trout. By extension, I’m switching types of lures and, for each lure, switching types of retrieve. Some guys get the right information or try the right methods at the beginning, but most of us have to study and work hard for it. Good luck to you, and don’t let the screen time ruin your eyes.
His wife does competitive lifting and he talks about how important it is to consider your spouse's individuality when choosing a career that is so demanding on the family. My point is that I highly doubt Randy is a male chauvinist and Ive heard him mention women anglers in prior videos. The word "stud" isnt being used literally in the title, it's referring to the anglers prowess and fishing abilities.
This video was JUICEEE. Structured phenomenally. Do this for every season.
👍

Trust me Randy when I say that if you make a 5 min video or a 1 hour video we are going to watch it.keep doing what you do.
I could sit and talk to you all day for weeks especially if we were face to face. So much to learn from you. You're a great teacher

I had to listen to this twice it was so packed with info

That really is good info Randy. That will absolutely help me figure things out while on the water. Thanks as always!

Does water clarity matter at night?
What’s your method to determine water clarity? A white bait I’m assuming.

Randy do you have a video on thermo cline? I feel the big deep lake I love it's pretty important.
Loving the video!!!Cool hat!!! Late night in the now famous"Tackle Room"😁
Great tip allready New pretty much but good to hear often for reminder
Love your channel. You would get smoked in my club tournaments. Lake Norman to High Rock back up to Lake James. Even a 2 day on Santee.
I’ve had a small mouth come up from 20’ to eat my spook had some strong current in the area with weed beds on bottom.
Fellow stud here ! Great video as usual…
Do you have a video about how wind affects bass behavior
Several and plan to do more

Great! Great info Randy!
Small mouth will come up for sure, love pulling them up with a top water bait! 👍
One hand washes the other ! I never got a reply from this channel! And I have been subscribed since day 1 !!
You probably won’t either. Make a critical remark and you’ll get a whole video in response.
I’m trying. Taking care of four kids and working three jobs doesn’t give me a lot of extra time to look through comments
Intuitive Angling is a bullshit free channel
Somebody’s not getting enough attention! Wahhhh!

I think $.20 every time. Much appreciated!
This is the first month of the program we’re supposed to find out for sure on the 13th so I’ll know more than
I have wondered the same thing as well.
If u do the math that can add up a lil bit
That’s my thoughts. Hell I got a lot of time at home when I watch these videos. I could click on each item lol
If u are ledge fishing what type water quality should u search for?
Lol randy got the fire titles.
Thank you
Good stuff as always Randy
HEALTH INSURANCE for Professional Anglers, their Spouse & Kids. Maybe you can do a Video on this Subject in the Future.
Thanks Randy.

Fishing pressure is the no. 1 thing that declines a fishery
Not a word from me. I've known it for awhile.
Thanks (10)
Turns out I’m a “stud”!!!
I’ll let my wife know!
Pay Randy comment

I feel like you're not recognizing a whole group of Anglers out here that being the women Anglers! It makes me not want to watch your videos.

No disrespect…. Just a fun title
Maybe don’t take words so seriously. You act as if he stated he doesn’t believe women can fish or something.
I love women anglers
