I have a neon plant in my garage, doesn't get used much but it's about nostalgia as LEDs have taken over. But real neon, the aura of it as beautifully designed art can't be beat. It is art.
I attended our local sign exhibition this year and I met a guy whose company manufacture LED signs that look exactly like Neon. It's a sad turn for the Neon trade and as a signmaker I'd like to see it continue. The reality is, more efficient and quicker manufacture techniques have already taken over.
