thank you so much for being a patron! It truly means so much to me that you joined. And I'll definitely continue to share other resources including the course 🥰 You can find more info and join the waitlist here: austentosone.com/enroll
Such a great discussion! I started a YT member group in January. My top tier is $20 and I am looking at it as an “incubator” for content I want to put together in a course/book. YT takes a huge cut, but there’s no learning curve for me. I look it as they are paying me to produce content I can repurpose. And I have no hesitation with charging because I know I am expediting their results and saving them much more than the cost in supplies they don’t need.
Hi Shannon, thank you so much for sharing your membership experience! It's awesome to hear you found a member model that works for you. Also, omg you're getting so close to 100k! What an exciting milestone and so well deserved 💕
Interesting video! I started my Patreon a few months ago now, and the weekly work on it is pretty minimal but i was intentional about that. I do wish it was easier to grow and I'm thinking i need a goal number! Thanks for the insights
Thank you for watching Steph! I definitely think that as long as the time you put in is reflective of the income you make and you're enjoying the work a membership can be a recurring and sustainable revenue source for a creator business. Congrats on launching this income stream!
Hey Austen, thank you for your feedback on the subject. I never started memberships because I always thought if I create more content for a membership, it might as well be content for my channel - in the end it doesnt necessarily bring more money but it's double the work
Thank you for watching Audrey! I totally agree that that content could potentially do more $$ at scale with ad revenue vs getting people to actually sign up and hand over their own money each month.
Another fantastic video Austen. Thanks 👍 for giving us your views on the advantages and disadvantages of having a channel membership and why it's not for you after 2 years. Love 🥰 the video and love ❤ Austen.
What are your thoughts on having a paid membership model as an influencer? Let me know in the comments!
I was a member of your patreon and enjoyed the content. I totally understand your point. I will have to look into your course
