  • This video takes you onto the Antikythera shipwreck, deeper than 50 metres beneath the surface, a time capsule for more than 2000 years.
A virtual tour, showing an ancient roman anchor being recovered, bronze section of a bed, 210cm section of a bronze spear from a larger-than-life statue, and much more.
Just like being there, but without the years of training it requires to work at such depth.

I'm only amateur, but were these guys archaeologists? Maybe there's a new high tech way of grid patterning archaeological sites I haven't heard of as it seemed they were just yanking things they saw randomly. Also there was no voice recording of their analysis of what it was they took. I saw a lot of logos, and Woods Hole, University of Sydney... so what appears to be can not be what it really is -- a well planned excavation and study. I thought they would go layer by layer and carefully plot every item, yet could see them using a metal detector and showing no signs of documentation, yet really maybe now days there are gps means of depth and latitude and longitude down to the minute degree. Does anyone else know? Thanks for sharing this.

That antikythera contraption was a device to measure the length and girth of a Male humans PANT ANTLER I'm convinced that's what it was used for in ancient times.
