Eric Burton you radiate so much beauty and positivity in your lyrics. Black Pumas blows my mind, it’s become a real go to and pleasure. Some music transcends boundaries, this certainly encompasses that and more.

It's early new year's morning in Melbourne and I'm home alone. Just discovered the Black Pumas. This is but clip number four in my experience so far. And, I'm thinkin that Eric Burton is quite possibly the greatest soul singer I've ever heard. I'm in my 40s and been digging on guys like Sam Moore, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, etc. since I was around 10 years young. Burton is truly blowing my mind. Oh my!

Black Pumas are great, but please don’t act like other bands haven’t also been playing “real music” all along and not getting credit for it. I’ve made a list of almost 1,500 rock bands that play in a “classic” style that formed within the last thirty years, most of them having formed within the last twenty years. And I’m constantly finding more of them. And all of these bands have recorded and posted their music online, so that it’s freely available to anyone with an internet connection.
I’d say that the best music of all time (so far) has been made within the last dozen years. These are my top six favorite bands: *Thundermother* (a Swedish classic hard rock band that formed in 2009), *Jess and the Ancient Ones* (a Finnish psychedelic rock band that formed in 2010), *The Oath* (a multinational hard rock band that formed in 2012 and split up in 2014), *The Bridge City Sinners* (a U.S. folk/punk/bluegrass/acoustic black metal/Prohibition-era jazz band that formed in 2016), *Blood Ceremony* (a Canadian “flute-tinged witch rock” band that formed in 2006), and *Twin Temple* (a U.S. doo-wop band that formed in 2016).
There are _tons_ of very great, very obscure, modern bands out there that are very much in need of more support. I could spend all day recommending bands to you. Multiple days. Weeks, months, and years.

I love contrast of the really sweet begin of the song and the super begging end, this is really wanting something. Also mr. Eric Burton mesmerize me with the movements of his arms/hands, his closed eyes, no steps. Nice performance.

driving my granddaughters to my house after school, the oldest is 11, I had on the local top 40 station for her. All the songs sounded alike with the autotune and that plastic, corporate pop sound. I come home and listen to a video of Black Pumas and am in heaven. Real music. I may not be young anymore but, I've always listened to music.
From 20s jazz to blues to 80s and 90s. Amy Winehouse and White Stripes were the last time I heard real music.
Then I watch the night of the Biden music night and hear you guys. I fall in love. I watch your videos to see if you are the real deal and download your album.
