As an American, this is one of my favorite movies EVER! The scenery is so beautiful. The color of Amitabh Bachan's turban alone is worth the watch! SRK's acting is mesmerizing.
This film was much ahead of its time, and i'll guarantee that in the past 10+ years, no other film has come close to being as completely out of the box as Paheli. Thanks SRK and Amol palekar for their brilliance 👌
SRK deserved National awards for chak de India, swades, my name is khan and paheli, paheli because this movie was so out of the box for that time and also for presenting Rajasthan culture so gracefully.
The Finest movie from Red Chillies.. probably not as commercial or popular genre but the most subtle and meaningful production. SRK did take a risk and didn't pay off but it says a lot about the type of films he wanted to make. Too bad he became a victim of his own image built up by films like KKHH
