The Land Before Time was the very first movie I saw in the theatre, it was larger than life, and the scene with Little foot’s mom has been burnt into my head for 32 years! I love that flick!!! Tree Star for Life!!!

I have missed going to the thrift stores on a Sunday and hunt for those geeky gems. Usually, after Christmas and the yard sale season are good times to do that collection expansion. Love that Krusty Burger shirt and the classic Dune books. Happy New Year!
A Thrift Shop visit wouldn't be complete without an appearance of Jurassic Park Lost World on VHS!!! LOL! Nice Little Haul! The thrift shops in my area are not the greatest.

Love those Dune books! Gotta look for those myself, the Dune 2000 game got me into the universe when I was younger and came with our first ever pc and been hooked ever since! Still my favourite game of all time 😄

Land before time was definitely my favourite film growing up. Its one of those movies (as is Ferngully) that never gets old.

Kevin J Anderson writes for just about anything. He is a good writer though. I have some X-Files, Stargate and Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels from him.

Tim Horton's recently made it to Minnesota. But more importantly, a T-shirt in January! There's a Value Village in Wisconsin, but I can tell by the price tags and store alignment that you're in (what we call) Savers.

If you're only gonna own one Gundam shirt, it may as well be that one. The RX-78-2 is the classic 'main' Gundam from the vintage series.

Great finds! I completely understand the frustration about pricing, here in AZ I have Goodwill & Savers and the prices are ridiculous...especially when the items are given to them for free. Looks like we pretty much hit the same places at the stores being the toys, T-Shirts, books & movies and then glasswares (always searching for the old fast food premium glasses). I am a new subscriber so I am pretty much binge watching all your vids. Love your collections and I look forward to more!
Had a feeling you would get all the DUNE books! There are dozens of Tim Hortons here in Rochester, NY. Love their coffee!
We also have Value Village in the USA but they usually smell like a grandparents basement where someone is still dead
Tim Horton was Canadian now sold to an American company.I'm also Canadian from the Montreal area.I don't play I replay.80's and 90's were the best years for the animated series.The best item you got was the Tim Horton's 😄.I love the french you add for fun in some words because je suis francophone.😉

The Dune prequel novels by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson are to Frank Herbert's Dune novels, what 'Samurai Cop' is to 'Die Hard'.
Wow Laura, I haven't seen The Land Before Time on VHS in ages! That sleeve is near mint too! Man me my younger brother and sister would watch it like nearly every day until our damn VCR ate it and ruined the tape. 📼🦖📼

If you only get one piece of Gundam merch, that shirt is a nice choice: simple, classy looks, and the RX-78-2 is the real OG 😎 Oh, and Kevin J. Anderson is a pretty well-known SF author, wrote a bunch of Star Wars books & comics pre-Disney 😉
Cool Gundam shirt! I don't know a whole lot about it, but when I was into it, a pilot flies this spacecraft and it transforms into the midsection of a giant robot. What you see on your tshirt is Gundam's head. I'm not certain but it may be Z-Gundam. That's the head of the robot.
I believe you and me share the same spirt animal.. amazing 👏

I think it is great that you're expanding your collecting interests into books. You do have to learn to identify the 1st Ed./1st print as these are the only print that will appreciate. Once you can do that, you can walk into any thrift store and go through an entire wall of books and literally pluck the $100 bills from the shelves. Also important is condition. Then no stinky (mold or mildew),spotted (foxed) or clipped books unless $$$. It will blow your mind when sitting right in front of you on the shelf for $1 is a forty year old book, fine condition that's worth several hundred dollars. Imagine sitting there amongst all the pulp, a 1st 'Catcher In The Rye' ? Oh yeah Poppy, Cha Ching!
Fun fact about your shirt. The Gundam on your shirt is the RX-78-2 Gundam. It is the titular or main Gundam of the first Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam, and it was primarily piloted by Amuro Ray. Us Gundam fans call it the Grandfather.
We started getting *some* Tim Hortons in Arizona a few years ago, after they were bought by Burger King. It's a limited menu though. There's one at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Az, where the Coyotes (NHL) play and I think there might be one in Scottsdale, Az, near the Coyotes practice facility, as well. There's always talk of Tim Hortons expanding their presence in Arizona because of how many Canadians spend the winter here.

I go to Savers (or Value Village) every Monday with my mother to find deals and stuff we're looking for. You should check the one by you and see if they have 50% everything on Mondays. If not, adopt a Senior and go on Tuesdays for 20% off. Hoping those aren't just in the US stores.

Thank you for showing the realities of Canadian Value Village. Like night and day to their American counterparts. Makes it tough to source/resell. That Iron Maiden shirt might've been worth it if you do any reselling. Hard to tell but the tag looked old.

Cool vid. Prices look similar to a lot of the thrift shops in Australia now, so many of the bigger name ones are overpriced considering it's second hand stuff and they're supposed to be charity stores.
I grew up watching Tim Horton's commercials but I've never been to one. The rrrroll up the rrrrim to win! contest commercials always made me laugh and think "Oh, those kooky Canadians!"

Never know what you'll find on the HUNT!
To know the edition and print of a book open the binding and flip to the page that has the printing press and other credits and just skim through. It'll take two seconds. That's not a 1st print run but you could learn more about the collection that way.
Laura, we have Value Village here in Washington state. I live in Seattle and there are about 10 within a 45 minute drive in any direction.

To find out if you have a 1st edition of a book, you can look on the information page that has the ISBN and other information. Down towards the bottom, there will be a series of numbers. Sometimes starting with 10, 9, 8, and so on. If it ends in a 1, you have a first edition. That was taught to me by a awesome used book seller in know.

Woah, 8-10$ a t-shirt at Value Village?! You can get brand new at practically the same price at Walmart! Don't know what's going on with that! I'll have to take a look at some of the Value Villages around here, but there's not much to see every time I go to one of these, I guess sometimes it's just a matter of luck, happy you found a few things to add to your collection! I'm from the Southern part of the US. I've never seen a Tim Horton's but we do have Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts everywhere.
The fuzzy puzzle sounds interesting. Also, there was a Dick Tracy figure in one of the bags you showed-out of box they sell for around $10 each, so that was a cool find, even if you didn't want it. Gotta go hit my local VV soon!
