I had the paste issue on my '86 Model 4 Charvel. I couldn't unstick the rollers. I ended up boiling them. It worked but on the lower E and A... they became overheated by laying on the bottom of the pot and physically melted. No bullshit! With that noted, by cautious and don't leave them unattended.
