The Ghost in the Machine originates with British philosopher Gilbert Ryle's description of René Descartes' mind-body dualism. Ryle introduced the phrase in The Concept of Mind (1949). British though.
Great video, thank you. I believe Colin Wilson wrote that it is recorded that Leibniz witnessed a monk levitating. I can't imagine how that might have affected his philosophy. Hard to think of Leibniz without thinking of Voltaire, no? Poor David Hume- not a mathematician AT ALL! 😝
Maimonides used Aristotle to prove Judaism, Averroës used Aristotle to prove Islam, and Aquinas used Aristotle to prove Christianity. The problem is Aristotle's law of non-contradiction.
I'm not READING Wikipedia for my source, dumbass. It's simply a convenient way of having the authors' pics and birthdates available. Some people are reeeealllly stupid! Unbelievable!

Reading Wikipedia as a main source? Seriously?
You wouldn't understand
JDE knows what he's doing, kid
It is a nice, surface level overview for many topics.
