I agree, although it's important to know that the sounds in nature documentaries are mostly foley. They have to film from so far away to get that footage (otherwise they'd spook the animals) that there's no way to get the actual sounds. In fact, I often find they overdo certain sounds.
Relax with the Birds... AND an entire Tchaikovsky orchestra. Bad editors always think they can improve wildlife video with music. Bad editors always want to make it about THEM and what they can add to a video. Less is more.

Thanks I needed this, I am from Russia and have been following the news about the war for the last week, worrying about what Putin tries to do and how to explain this to people who still believe our state media, also sanctions are very hard for regular people, while EU countries failed to properly punish politicians and oligarchs through the last years after annexation of Crimea (continued to buy gas and oil from Gazprom etc.). I am very depressed because of all the destruction which is happening right now and realisation that our government won't care about our opinions. I have also always loved birds more than anything ❤️ Video like this help me to not fall into despair

We as a human race have failed in so many ways and continue to make the same mistakes in electing people that are power thirsty and think they are unstoppable. I know sometimes its inevitable to feel anguish and despair for all the injustices happening around us and its very hard to comprehend why there is so much evil and lack of empathy in certain people.. but you are different, you have a heart and have a conscience. You are a good person and this world needs people like you. Every time I feel sad about the injustices of the human race, i come to videos like this or go around and search for nature. Our wonderful Mother Earth has the power to makes us feel better♥️

My Bengal kitten actually stopped his boisterous shenanigans to come and see where the gorgeous sounds were coming from….. then he saw the birds, omg his personality suddenly and completely changed, snapped back to a former life… somewhere in the Sumatran jungle….. 🐯
Their sounds, looks(the vibrant colors) and their behaviors just unique. Those are the reasons why I love bird watching in the natural setting. I'm relaxed.🍃🐦
My kind of brids I had raised majority of African parrots Brown heads Senegal niam niam redbellied all African parrots just to name a few plus I enjoyed them talking to me I have one male red bellied parrot he is 45 years old today and very smart bird he was the last born runt the smallest of my redbellied pairs that I sold years ago planning on raising different types of parrots soon !

Dear BBC. Not sure you understand this, but mentioning the benefits of viewing the natural world while overdubbing the sounds of nature with music seems contradictory. The photography is splendid. The tunes were, I'm sure, carefully chosen...but they are invasive. Like taking a boom box to the beach. Better luck next time. Sometimes more is less.

I am watching this with my kids because they do not yet understand english or complex narration. My oldest one (5 yo) is just complaining that he wants to see different animals, not just birds :).
I find myself agreeing with some of the others who commented about this shouldn't have ANY music..it's supposed to be about the sounds of birds and nature itself.
