One of my teachers once stated: "tai chi is martial arts but also art". I have watched this performance so many times and I still feel inspired with every time I watch it. So beautiful! I do miss however the sound of the fan from an earlier version. The performance level is not mine to judge but I find it extremely skillful. The music is perfectly matching the speed and rythm. I will keep watching, thank you :)
I ran through this one a few times in class ruclips.net/video/SjPHwaNdWls/видео.html whoever created it was a real troll putting the fan throw and catch as one of the last moves. Drop it at the end and you have no choice but to start over!
This is the best Tai Chi Fan I've ever seen. I've learning Tai Chi for more than 3 yrs. Really want to learn Chen style in the future. Too bad you are so far away. I am in Canada.
Simply Top Level Mr. David Bao !!!! Thank you very much for sharing your harmonious performance. Could you, please, share the Tai Chi Chuan Chen Style forms list (free hands and weapons)? Could you produce a video (or point existing one) about the aplications of this form´s techniques? Greeting from Brazil!
A stunning performance. I'm currently starting to learn the Chen style 48 fan form, but this form here has more of a Tai Chi flow in parts, with explosive Wushu type movements.
Could one of y'all help me? I was looking into tai chi and qigong to help with increasing flexibility and reducing stress. I was unaware that tai chi is useful for self defense (when I see martial arts my brain focuses on the word "arts") and I am curious about two things: How does tai chi help with self defense? Is the fan also usable for self defense, or is it just for practicing. I love hand fans and I had no idea that they were incorporated into tai chi. Would any of y'all mind explaining things or directing me to where I can learn?
Very well done. Only problem is this is not the original Chen Iron Fan form. It's a extrapolation of Laojia Yi Lu. Very very well done, though, really awesome.
Im curious as to where you read about "the original Chen Iron Fan Form" . I have never heard any of the 5 major teachers of Chen Style , Chen Zhenglei, Chen Yin, Chen Xiaowang, Wang Xian or Zhu Tian Cai, mention it. I'm fascinated to know your source!
Would love to know the "story" of this form. I learn that there aren't fan forms officially approved by Chen family, but 24 and 48 fan fan forms, inspired to Chen taiji forms , are widely teached, and used to help the silk reeling and fajing comprehension. Wang Erping appear to be one of the most famous teacher.
Viewed while turning off the music and listening instead to ruclips.net/video/O8Wq9UihKL4/видео.html (Zhou Shen's song about Tang dynasty Li Shi Ming) ; it goes well with the movements !

I have never liked the fan routines until this one. It is very beautiful.

Awesome performance. True to the spirit of Chen Tai Chi. Thank you for your generous sharing.
Thank you very much!

1:52 part is so impressive
It looks like It's all Laojia up to that point and then that looks like extra coiling from Xinjia, but with the arm extended to add a strike.
Wonderful ✨
