I love this pattern ! I have been looking for tjis exact one . I am 58 years old had a top like this when i was 12 . Yes i remember it . I lived on a farm and us kids didn't get new clothes very often but each one of us got a new blouse made just like this except ours had button holes with a soft rope for a tie around the waist . This was in the 70's . I am going to make me all different colors for spring and summer . Thank you so much for posting!! You did a wonderful job .

Блузка проучилась красивая! Но, я бы не стала разрезать ткань. Можно было просто вырезать горловину, обработать её и низ тоже. Ну и строчки боковые - всё! Вещь готова. А так лишние движения сделала: разрезала, потом зашила.
Скажите пожалуйста а что означает в скобках?

@@UZanka в Европе в дюймах не мерят, в Европе как в Росии метры и сантиметры 😊 в дюймах измеряют в Америке, а так же в Англии и Канаде, может ещё где - не знаю 😂
Очень плохо видно,ткань надо брать однотонную,чтобы мел был виден.

Hi… as a long time seamstress I think it was pretty easy to figure out & agree that cutting only to sew it bk together seems redundant. But newbies need a little more help to understand what & why they are doing. Some of this takes time to process & learn. They might have trouble getting the v-neck, which I love about this top, to lay nice if only having the fabric folded & stitched vs cut 1st. And explaining steps w/ a little more detail I’m sure would be helpful too. If you see that it’s something you have done a 100 times just fast forward a bit. Most of these “quicky” tops are round neck or scoop style. It’s a good change. Love it ❤

It would have helped if we could have seen which was the right and wrong sides of fabric so we knew how to position them before sewing - it wasn’t that obvious unfortunately. But it certainly turned out to be beautiful, thank you 🥰

I can just add a few tips. Buy and use a walking foot to get smooth hems that just need a light press with the iron. My experience is that the normal foot makes the hem tuckering and uneven and even with a lot of press it doesn't look good. The other tip is to zigzag the raw edge instead of overlock. With a light weight fabric this might be tricky though. There is a special hemming foot that also make this easier. These feet can be bought a a sewing machine reseller and make your projects look way more professional. I

What can I do if I don't own an overlock machine? I only have a common sewing machine and I'm a beginner.
A very lovely top but if you'd sewn the centre front and centre back seams before you sewed the hem you wouldn't have the seams showing at the hem.
