Do you have any prop repair horror stories that you can share with our viewers?

I've completely roto-tilled rocky river beds with my boat prop, as well as nicking them up from minor prop strikes. In both situations, I always have them repaired. I can usually feel some vibration from a small nick on the prop, and cavitation can be a problem with minor damage to the edges. It always amazes me how some prop repair shops can make a totally mangled prop look brand new. Always cheaper to repair vs buying a new prop, especially if it's stainless steel. On the other hand, buy an extra prop or two for spares. I have extras based on the type of boating I'm doing...4-blade vs 3-blade for different boating conditions. Even the most experienced boaters will tear up a prop on occasion. Good info in the video for sure!

Great video tips again. I might add that the damage to the edges of a prop that doesn’t need immediate repair, can still cause cavitation. And with that, the damage will also slowly show itself. 🇨🇦👍🏼

Here is what I'm asking myself. With the inflated economy and our horrible administration, how are people still going out and buying expensive boats? I make good money as a travel tech and I still can't afford even the lowest level of motorized boat.

Eat less and/or live in the boat 👍

You obviously don't make good money as a travel tech. But sure blame the current administration. During the previous administration could you afford a boat? Doesn't sound like it 😂

Maybe instead of blaming the government you could spend some time upgrading your skill set so you are more valuable to an employer and could start making the money the rest of us that CAN afford boats are making. Take some personal responsibility and stop blaming others for your problems

Buy used. Nothing wrong with an older boat just have it inspected first.
