They did a very good job to retain that V12 roar from the old 6.0 N/A, when they went twin-turbo. Plus, the only modern Aston that maybe looks a bit fugly is the DBX’s front. Other than that, DB11, DBS Superleggera, new Vantage, look pretty still.

Never really liked the DB11 all that much. Think my favourite Aston right now would be the Vanquish S Volante, as long as it's still around. Can't really get behind the new Vantage. Design language is not really my thing, it's quite the departure from what it used to be about. The side profile is alright, reminds me of a Jag F-Type. The front just lacks a bit more of the classic Aston Martin grill I feel like. And the rear with that ducktail and red unibrow across is just all wrong. I do really like the DBS Superleggera. Wish the bonnet had louvres instead of mesh and again... I don't like the unibrow rear they've got going on. But otherwise it's a tremendous car. Get him in one of those. Interior had a much needed update too. Can't wait for the DBS Volante.

I think you really have to be British to appreciate Aston Martin's for more than their gorgeous looks. They sure look nice but for people that really know about cars, Aston's are never a driver option. It's simply not a rival to the other supercars in this price range.
The car i always want to see AMR build is the Merc GTR engine tune , in a light weight alcantara styled GT8 vantage, with manual gearbox option. Aston need to shake off their tweed gentlemen grand tourer image, they won't do it until they knock it out the performance park against everything else. This does not mean they shouldn't build their current cars, it just widens the customer envelope for them to sell more versions of different models, to more customers, in the past VH series cars Aston were behind on performance and as a result didn't have a product that could stack up to anything like a Ferrari, when the F12 came out as a GT car and AMR had to stand against this with the Vanquish it was frankly embarrassing , all they did was up the marketing, to try and sell image that nobody who was serious bought into and I have always liked Astons products in general, quality slipped on the vanguish, but I put this down to being a small manufacturer. But their build and finish is far better than current Ferrari's. Ferrari interior plastics are shocking straight out of Fiat and I have seen poor paint finish on the F12 bonnet when it was new in the showroom. This is why currently I have switched away towards the german products, cheaper and better built. You can jump in a GT3 or an AMG product or R8 and they run everyday without any issues, leave them in the garage for 3 months and they still fire up straight away every time. ,You can't do that with a Ferrari its battery will be flat. Lastly I think the current entry level vantage is far better than the GTS merc, suspension ride and sound. But then I never liked any AMG product sound ever, even pre turbo cars. Flat crack NA engines stole my heart at birth..... naturally that makes it very difficult for me to buy cars today, everything is a compromise.
