My father lived in the twin where they would test the UDES XX and he has memory’s of watching it drive on the roads, he’d also see a few SAAB 32 Lansen fly over his house. And that is the only reason I know it existed and what it was gonna be used as. In my opinion it’s a really neat idea but it has its problems. Oh and I just want to say for fun that one of the problems it had was it could not reload the 120 mm gun if it wasn’t pointing straight forward, and they never found a way to fix this. Great video! Wombats can run faster than a fair amount of humans, are partially bulletproof to some calibres due to extremely dense bone, and are well known for crushing dingos heads. In short, they may look adorable, but they can definitely intimidating creatures...

BTW, I wanted to ask if you have any interest in checking out the vehicle designs of the Metal Gear series? I think you might enjoy it because they have a fun mix of super ridiculous unrealistic vehicles (like Metal Gear RAY and REX), and actually quite grounded designs (Gekko, Shagohod, TX-55, and Metal Gear D). It's also the only series I can think of where Mechs are actually strategic weapons rather than tactical ones with half the Metal Gears being more analogous to nuclear submarines than tanks; which certainly puts an interesting spin on the design philosophy. Actually, speaking of Metal Gear, you might want to check out the series that inspired a lot of those designs, "Maschienen Kreiger" (I think I spelled that right) which has some of the most grounded mech designs I've ever seen.
Obj.760 was more a testbed/proof of concept on its idea. A look into "Should we even interest ourselves with this, is there any possibly we might regret ignoring this concept in the future?" (A worthy mention none the less!)
Dude that gameplay of the 279 makes me sad. I grinded as hard as I could for that thing during the event but was unable to get it. It was truly a painful moment for many WT players
technically, some SPGs can be considered as such. but otherwise, i don't think so. having two guns inside of the turret add only one pro (twice the firing rate ) but lots of cons, so, only usefull for units where volume of fire is important enough to justify a fat (and then, poorly armored) turret.
I know you've never seen a wombat face-to-face, but they're a lot more menacing than meets the eye. You can hit them at 90kph (almost 60mph) and they'll leave a wombat print in the radiator and walk away like nothing happened. They also have claws and can weigh almost 40kg
You should take a look at the designs of the Battletanx series. I'm interested to hear your thoughts about a tank that can literally flip over and still function fine or that one tank that has a minigun welded into the hull.

There's an in game option to get close ups of all the tank models as well as the various lore behind them and a lot of the technologies that make it possible. It seems right up your alley and is currently on sale on steam. Alternatively, Mandaloregaming put out a video on it and has an affiliate link that would allow you to get a slightly better deal on GOG.

You should name those "weird" prototype tanks underrated prototypes because almost no one knows about it. And just how to fix a Maus problem? 1. Simple, it's weight should be lighter than 70 tons, beyond 70 tons or 70 tons is too much for a tank. 2. It's armor should be composite armor with a little thin layer of steel. It can increase the thickness of armor while reducing the weight of the tank. 3. It shouldn't need a complex suspension to be that good. Panthers and Tigers are a failure because of the complex mechanical issues of the suspension made them unreliable. 4. The template of the tank would be a armored artillery piece with reliable modules. 5. There's no need a bigger, complex tank like tigers or Panthers. There's a bunch of reliable options to defeat tanks like T-34 and Shermans, for example mass producing more artillery guns or trucks with guns would help to solve the issue. Although it cannot help that these tanks can immediately kill trucks with impunity.
A cool tank I thought was cool was the object 477 cause it has a huge 152mm gun and the crazy part is that it has a auto loader and it can penetrate 420mm of armor. Also it goes 75km/h With ceramic armor, but it was canceled when the Soviet Union was disbanded.

I've never heard of it either.". One google search later reveals the M8 AGS project got canceled in 1997. It baffles me that they would have took something as big, bulky and awkward looking as that over something like the DFSV with less crew and by the looks of it a lower profile with more ability to protect the crew and dish out more fire....especially if the gun wound up being used on the striker sense that seems like it would have been the most problematic part to an overall ideal and non-problematic vehicle. I guess that's just how the military industrial complex goes isn't it?.....I donno, maybe I'm mistaken, been out of it all damn day. @@epion660 looks like someone doesn't shoot the 279's fuel-tank-pylons. Those can send spall straight into the ammo and one shot it.

There is no way the A-8 Tiger from Battlefield 2142 is actually based on the HD-40T, but they just look so similar!
