considering i have a clock i paid 99c for which has temperature, humidity and barometric pressure, its amazing how little they must get the components for, are there any cheap position or acceleration sensors to teardown next?
Great video; very interesting. Of course, you were trying to decap that chip with it attached to a great blue cast-iron heatsink, which probably didn't help.
Nice interesting video, could any body explain how the Arduino signals interacts with the Bmp180, is the Arduino just reading reading analog voltage changes within the sensor and then converting them to digital thanks.
Toni Lähdekorpi I believe the primary reason for including the barometric sensors in phones is as an altimeter, as it can significantly speed up the initial position fix when using satnav if you know something already about your position.

Can I use this pressure sensor for measuring air pressure blown from the pipe?
Again, thumbs up on the tear downs!
Do you know which cheap chinese sensor ist the same as the bmp180 by Bosch?

That's an I2C sensor, so the data is sent over serial/I2C bus
hello sir, if I plug the hole with something will the pressure decrease or increase?
+Ahmad Faris it will stay at the same pressure it was recording just before the hole was plugged
so how do I manipulate it?
electronupdate actually I need to keep the readings of the pressure after I plug in even im on low altitude places
you cannot. if the hole is plugged the pressure inside the sensor cannot change and therefore the readings will not change
electronupdate that's a bummer, so if I apply pressure manually is it gonna break?
Why would you need a sensor like that in a cell-phone?
