93.1 GB is the way Windows reports 100 billion bytes. It's actually 93.1 GiB (gibibytes), or "binary gigabytes." A decimal gigabyte is 1 billion bytes, but a binary gigabyte is 2^30 (1,073,741,824) bytes. This applies to all other sizes: 1 kibibyte = 1,024 (2^10), 1 mibibyte = 1,048,576 (2^20), and 1 tebibyte = 1,099,511,627,776 (2^40).

It would be nice to see how the burning process is going on as it is 92GB on one disc usefull to know about the limitation at 92.2 GB btw. on which speed do you burn do you use added software or diferent one and which speed did you apply for the burn?

it is stated to burn at 6x so at that speed only 6x bd-r xl can read that speed. if its in a 2x-4x burner it must have to be burned at low speed in some bd xl readers. error reading can be if you try burning at 6x with only 4x media. crc errors can come so burn at max speed on desktop makes it read at full speed. usb 2.0 reading or usb 3.2 makes it burn at 2x and 6-8x speed max. but no media burn at 8x yet. it was just like using cd-r and rw media. 2x could burn in low speed but cd-r could burn in higher speed. same with dvd-ram rw+-

Hey Ivan, I had a question. Did all of your M-discs read correctly? I've heard that blu-ray M-discs often can't be read when you change the player ( from changing one brand to another ). Is all of them okay to read with other brands ?

Hi I will try it in another samsung blueray burner I have and will tell you , but It should be ok because that is the point of archive, to be able to read your archive from any BD reader device ?

It's been a month since you posted. Have you been able to find the answers to your questions? I've been looking to buy the Verbatim 43888 too to use it on a Win 11 PC.

Lite on is the only brand with the highest quality drives I saw, but they no longer make them, so you have to rely on ebay or hope that the brand new drives for LG or pioneer are good

@@RusRus72 - do you recommend Verbatim BD-XL drives, I believe they're Pioneer drives internally.

@@RusRus72- Is the Verbatim 43888 good, since it's actually a Pioneer BDR-UD04 inside?

@@AnalogFoundry I made more research overtime and pioneer seems like the highest quality drive you can buy brand new in the market right now, so I would recommend them, lgs are fine but when it comes to duel/triple layer burning they are kinda crappy
