Kermit would absolutely let loose a storm in private, but not in public. He's a professional, gosh darn it.
Characters are more interesting if they’re contradictory in their personalities as we wonder how it is possible to get one with the other, you know
The Kermit from the behind-the-scenes camera tests for the first movie absolutely would, he’s just hanging out with Fozzie instead of keeping up appearances.
Or he'd drop one then quickly cover his mouth.
He's the face of an _American institution!_ The public _expects_ him to uphold a certain _dignity._
Yep sounds about right
Fozzie seems like the kid of guy who would step on a nail and be like "oh fiddlesticks , that hurts quite a bit"
Or to quote Homer Simpson "Fiddle dee Dee that will require a tetanus shot"
Sounds a bit more like Flanders…
Fiddle-dee-dee, that will require a tetanus shot.
Fozzie would swear if it were a pun where he wasn't "technically" swearing. ("That's pretty fudged up!" If there's a chocolate related accident for example)
he's not the type of bear to swear
I for one, am 100% certain that Beaker swears on a regular basis, especially with all the things Bunsen puts him through. Just because you can't understand his verbal noises, doesn't mean that he can't swear.
For all we know, his noises are just him swearing
@@CodaBlairLucarioEmperorjust like R2-D2
Imagine that every time he says Meep he's being censored, and it becomes hilarious.
Have you seen the rap battle Beaker was in on 'Drop The Mike'? Beaker showed he was capable of some pretty vile language.
Meep = Beep = Bleep = Censor
Constantine would not just drop the F-Bomb
he would go on lengthy curse-filled tirades in Russian
He would just punch someone and call it "expressive dance"
Constantine: (swears at Miss Piggy)
Dominic: What was that?
Constantine: ... I was in the middle of evily plotting. I do not want to he disturbed while I am evily plotting.
@@danielrules-espinal
Dominic: you swore, Kermit doesn’t swear
Constantine: NUMBER TWO DOES IT LOOK LIKE I GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT KIERMIT THE FROG SAYS AND DOESN’T SAY RIGHT NOW!!!!!
@@mrcritical6751 Dominic: If you want to get away with this, you have to keep up your bloody appearances.
Constantine: You try keeping up appearances in this f*cking nut house of freaks!
Dominic: If you want to steal the crown jewels, stick to the bloody plan! Do whatever the pig wants, keep her happy; whatever she asks of you!
I thought he was German??
If Janice said it, it would be at the exact moment that everyone else in the room inexplicably got quiet, and then everybody would absolutely clearly hear her say it.
for sure, like totally
“So I said ‘look mother, it’s my life, okay? So if I wanna live on a beach and walk around naked…’ oh”
Fer sure!
The Muppets were on an episode of "Drop the Mic" where Beaker was told to watch his language. Considering what Bunsen puts him through, he probably has yelled "Fuck!" but it came out as "Meep!" Also, Janice said the word "Hell" in The Great Muppet Caper and in that movie and The Muppets Take Manhattan she discussed nudity. (She'll do it for her pleasure, but not for another's entertainment.) Rolf casually dropped a "Son of a bitch" on Arsenio Hall, but maybe that's not a swear word for him.
They say “hell” and “damn” a few times in the 2015 series too
Rowlf clarified that it's not a swear but a compliment amongst Dogs
@@TheGerkuman Idk about a compliment, it’s more like just a fact. 😂
@@harwickbranchwell I think that was intended for a more mature audience so that makes sense
Gonzo's swears would be a tragic and somber thing. Like when his latest art act gets booed off stage, he remains stoic and unnaffected, till he's back in his dressing room, where he says a quiet, tired "F***" and slumps into his chair.
Andy and Randy don't count. They are a pair of Cousin Olivers that we did not ask for or need.
Beaker says nothing BUT F-boms; every word he said is censored with the beep/meep.
Beauregard is dumb, but sweet and gentle. I'd say he learned the word was a bad word at an early age, and would not only not use it, he would chide others for saying it.
Bobo's F-boms are few and far between, usually after the full impact of the ramifications of his latest screw up hits him,.
Johnny Fiama strikes me as 'Swears by nature, but has cut that out due to his time in the spotlight and not wanting to offend sponsors'
Fun Muppet fact; half of the process of editing the original Muppet Show and all the movies, is editing out Miss Piggy's F-bombs.
Jim: “Frank, how many times do I have to tell you to keep it family friendly outside of your non-Muppet work?”
I believe it
While Rowlf may not have dropped the F-word, he called Arsenio Hall a "Son of a Bitch" 😄
I find that amusing.
Jim actually said the f-bomb in a letter that was in response to a bizarrely worded review of his 1969 TV film The Cube. His exact words were, and I quote: "Dear Mr. Dione: What the fuck are you talking about? Yours truly, Jim Henson"
"Jom"
@@a-s-greig It's in quotes so it really happened. 😁
a Precision F-Strike moment
@@mxplixic Looks like someone didn't read Henson's biography smh (Kidding, kidding, I understand the skepticism lol)
He’s honestly real for that
Camilla, in the clip you played, is literally singing the song "Fuck You." As for Sam the Eagle, I think that he would be physically and mentally incapable of saying it. If anyone is going to fit this "legally cannot" thing, it would be him.
Sam is an AMERICAN. He's DEFINITELY said it. I can TOTALLY see him singing the "theme" to Team America
@@bemasaberwyn55 lol. Probably his favourite movie.
I thought the song was forgot you.
@@bemasaberwyn55 I don’t think he’d say because told Kermit not to say hell in the muppets 2015 show
Sam the Eagle and Wayne & Wanda would never!
Fun Fact: The electric mayhem are now always legally happy
They did get $420k for their album…
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who loves that show
Yooo, Riff
Yeah with all the women visiting animal's changing room 😏😏😏
I have the feeling Gonzo would survive another dangerous stunt and get up afterwards and be like "F*** yeah!"
Beaker's meeps are actual words. They're just in the language of Meepish. You might as well say the Swedish chef couldn't swear because he speaks Swedish. The question should be "would Beaker say the work in his meeps, and the answer is yes. He's made Dr. Honeydew blush on several occasions. This also applies to the chickens. They literally sang the song F*** You by Ceelo Green and you showed it
Also Beaker isn't flipping off Scrooge, he's wagging his index finger at Scrooge disparagingly as he tells him off
That last thing you said is the logical and squeaky clean explanation
You cannot unsee the funnier outcome once you see it
@martinefrensoquigomez7835 except I looked at the finger he used. You can freeze frame and see for yourself. It's not that you "can't unsee", because you didn't see it in the first place. All you're arguing is that if you let your mind be in the gutter, then you can imagine it differently. Your headcannon is not reality.
He speaks Mock Swedish, not actual Swedish. It's been addressed in the Jean Stapleton episode of the show.
Ok but the Swedish chef doesn’t remotely speak Swedish 😂
@caittails and someone mocking the French doesn't remotely speak French. What's your point?
If a character comes out and says nothing but "on hon hon" the intellectually honest know that it's a mockery of the French and it should be taken as they're speaking French
Honestly I disagree with Beaker and Camilla not being able to swear since they don't talk but I'm pretty sure there's been moments where both Camilla and Beaker have sworn and that's what we're meant to take it as.
Beaker does kinda flip the bird at Scrooge in muppet Christmas carol
Animal: "ANIMAL FUCK!!"
Kermit: "No! Bad Animal! Down boy!"
Miss Piggy doesn't say fuck she SCREAMS it
Miss Piggy + Eric Cartman = CENSORED 💩 times ♾
While Scooter would definitely not say the F word, we all know his twin sister, Skeeter, would possibly use it every 10th word, which is probably why she is a '84 Muppet Babies exclusive character.
I can imagine Scooter trying to tell Skeeter to stop using the f-bomb but she just replies to all of his concerns with more f-bombs just to annoy him, too the point that he gets so frustrated that he shouts " f**k this" and immediately regrets it, fallowed by Skeeter teasing him for the rest of the day.
Don't forget that Kermit called Josh Groban a dork on "The Muppets."
Dork isn’t a swear word
@@georgerobertson7010 more of a meany head word if you will
It is absolutely precious that you thought this was noteworthy. 😂
Oscar is probably the only Sesame Street character I can imagine saying it. As for the Fraggles, most of them are probably too ambiguously childlike too say it, Uncle Matt might go in the middle, Pa Gorg might be in the second-to-highest tier, and Junior might be dumb enough to say it once before Ma makes him eat soap for it.
I can see Big Bird getting pissed enough to say it
@@bemasaberwyn55 I dunno, I think that Big Bird along with most of the rest of the Sesme Street cast are just like the Fraggles in that they are too ambiguously childlike...Oscar is still the only one who would be up there with Piggy and Animal. Maybe characters like The Count, Guy Smiley, Sherlock Hemlock, Don Music ect. who are more obviously adults would go in the middle, and I can totally see Forgetful Jones being one of those dumb characters who doesn't know any better. And maybe Cookie Monster since he seems to be more of a manchild than most of the other monsters. Ernie's a manchild too but he's less wild than Cookie but I can see Bert beeing the second most likely one to say it when he's had enough of Ernie's shenanigans
Yeah, I can see Bert saying it. Oscar is a given. I think the angry blue guy might, also.
Wembley would probably say it without knowing what it means and get a dunk in the laundry bucket from a disapproving Boober
@@WindowshadeCureI feel like Mr. Johnson would be a regular. Mainly cause he has to put up with Grover.
Swedish chef: *FERK FERK FERK!!!* as he is carrying a pan of burning food
Statler and Waldorf definitely would 😆
As hecklers, you bet your ass they would.
Instantly made me think of Doobus Mcgoobus' parody video of The Muppet Show (not the Kermit is disappointed in you one, the other one)
Yeah.....they would
Most definitely as hecklers.
Stantler and Waldorf would definitely be an exception to his "Elderly Muppets not swearing ruling".
If Kermit paid for a smashing room, he might actually pay damages, just because of how much stress he has.
I feel like Gonzo would definitely say it in a more dramatic situation. Like, I could picture a scenario where Kermit comes to him with news of the show going bankrupt or something, and during the quieter moment of reflection, he’d just throw it out there.
Or a stunt gone wrong and is suffering from a deasont amount of whiplash
Sam the Eagle I feel would be someone who will swear all the time but will berate others for swearing.
Aka a perfect example of an American
Like trump did at least once during an interview.
Kermit did casually say "what the hell" in one of the Muppet Show pilots, so he could absolutely be pushed to say the f word under pressure.
100% obvious that Miss Piggy would drop the F-Bomb
And I'm w/ that being mainly offstage. She's very interested in her public image, so it would make sense that's the one place where she'd exhibit control. Whenever she can't keep a tactful tongue via willpower alone in those on-camera situations, she turns to her longstanding coping mechanism of martial arts.
@@SonofMrPeanut No kidding
Ms. Piggy has that violent temper so, yeah, she’s dropping f-bombs between “HI-YA!” karate kicks. 🤭
If Kermit snapped he totally would XD
Next can you do “Ranking Which of the Muppets Would Start an OnlyFans?” Miss Piggy would be at the top.
Also Gladys the Lunch Lady
*Reads title* Animat is really becoming edgy every day XD
Animal doesn’t necessarily say it, but he does it.
Lol canonically he does
In the Muppet Barbershop Quartet cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit, Beaker sings all the lines that wouldn't be appropriate for kids. I think he's said it.
This is the most in-depth video I’ve ever seen, and it’s about which of the Muppets would say “fuck”.
Finally, someone answering the real questions
Lol
You forgot Willkins and Wontkins. With Willkins, he'd transcend it to enlightenment levels, and Wontkins would swear like a sailor out of the sheer terror of his life.
When Miss Piggy and Kermir are at home, alone, their fights definitely involve the f-word.
Well I can't really imagine Rowlf to really say it, but then again the one episode of the 2015 series he did say the word Damn, so him is a sheer possibility
There are a few interviews where Ralph is present and he says "son of a bitch" which was wild to hear the first time. lol
"angry, Scottish gargoyle" Dunno about Gargoyles but anger is a default setting and I'm half Scottish so I can say this with some degree of accuracy - put him in the top tier
My thoughts exactly
Me, before watching this tier list ranking: Ah, that's easy. More of the Muppets would only drop F-bombs once or twice in their life at most.
Me, after the ranking: Someone call Seth MacFarlane and tell him his old shtick could legitimately work for the Muppets.
In terms of Sesame Street characters, Oscar and Bert would be more than likely to swear, since they're big grumps, while Elmo wouldn't normally, but, like Kermit, stuff does happen when people push his buttons, and he could swear, Zoe, Ernie and Big Bird on the other hand wouldn't much at all, since they aren't known for their rage at all. Sid, AKA: Cookie Monster probably would, due to how much of a glutton he is, and Grover could considering that he gets frightened quite easily, especially if there's allegedly a big scary monster at the end of a book.
Seeing all those behind the scenes clips with Elmo as well as the guest appearances on shows like Scrubs, I fully believe Elmo would do it if he thought he could get away with it.
Mr. Johnson's another big grump
Thought it was cool that you put (Cookie Monster) Sid/Sidney's real name there :)
Elmo would never cuss - unless it’s at Rocko, then he will let loose a torrent of f-bombs.
elmo would be "has sworn off saying it but has said it at some point" and the one point he DID say it was definitely directed at rocko the rock
There really should be a “says fuck occasionally” category
I can totally see kermit in one of his sad moments just being like "Well fuck."
Probably Miss Piggy, Statler and Waldorf would say it, especially Miss Piggy she’s always screaming like crazy
i think beaker is cursing up a storm but we just dont know it because hes speaking his native language, same goes for camilla [in fact the clip you used was EVIDENCE of her canonically saying "fuck you" in chicken language]
Ms piggy would definitely say it lol.
I feel like if Rowlf got a wrong note on a piano he might mutter the f word but wouldn't shout it. He's a respectful doggo
I don't think Lou Zealand would swear because that's against the clown code. For those who don't know, clowns have a code about what to do and what not to do while performing, and i'm pretty sure swearing is against that code.
Guarantee Piggy, Kermit and Animal would. Wanna see something terrifying, look up the Jim Henson coffee commercials, they will change your opinion on Kermit. Rizzo being from Jersey probably would especially with some of the shit Gonzo puts him through. Also I can see Beaker cursing Professor Honeydew
I remember the penguins actually speaking in “The Muppets Take Manhattan”; it was the scene at the diner, and the penguins ask if they can apply for a job, but are immediately rejected by Kermit, Pete and the rats. At that moment, one of them said, “Well EXCUSE us for living!”, and then afterwards, you know they would’ve said “fuck” and be cool with it.
This is a great way to showcase his knowledge of the muppets cast, much enjoyed. 🎉
I feel like Rowlf would be in the second tier. Like, he doesn't say it a lot, or in an angry kind of way, but after a long day when he cracks open a cold beer and says it casually kind of way.
He said son of a-
before
I like to think beaker wouldn't only drop F-bombs, but happily use slurs and commit warcrimes.
It's only the monitoring and medical administering of Dr Bunsen Honeydew that keeps this mad man in check.
Fozzie would swear once and exactly once and then feel bad for it. Meanwhile, Kermit regularly has public meltdowns and would definitely swear, especially in an argument with Piggy. Also, Bill the Bubble Guy is definitely one who cannot legally swear because he needs to be suitable for advertisers.
Headless Bill would legally be unable to say fuck because he can't say anything. He's headless.
Kermit would defo swear when he loses his temper
Beaker technically did drop the F bomb once
When he, Pepe, miss piggy, and kermit were on drop the mic
When talking about Kermit...you can't forget he has a rather...storied history if you look into older Sesame Street episodes where he has gone off on a tear or two at Cookie Monster. And let us not forget what could have very well been the prototype for his design...Wilkins..the more than a little psychopathic lover of Wilkins brand coffee. Cheerful as all get out..unless you don't want to buy Wilkins brand coffee...then HORRIBLE things will happen to you. Combine those two things together on top of the times he's gone off when the chaos gets too much for even his patience and you get someone more likely to drop the F bomb than you would think.
Early Kermit would say fuck. 1980+ Kermit wouldn't, except for in the 2015 show where he got a Lil edgy again.
I feel like Miss Piggy would probably say the F-bomb if someone dared insult her or Kermit. Or maybe their kids, if they had any. It would be the kind of menacing f-bomb though that would make them realize 'uh oh, now you've done it.' Piggy would probably slowly turn toward the offending person and say "The FUCK did you just say???" She'd probably avoid doing so in front of Kermit or potential kids though. _Probably.._ Rizzo kinda strikes me as the swearing type too. Once again, in defense of someone else, especially Gonzo.
ALSO little Beaker fun fact. In that Muppet Christmas Carol movie that was referenced in Beaker's section of this video, Beaker actually says "Oh dear oh dear" alongside Honeydew. It's the only time I've ever heard him say anything other than a "meep". Last thing I'm gonna say is that Rowlf would _definitely_ drop the f-bomb if surprised. Lol.
Do you mind doing more of these tier lists scenarios with the Muppets? Their really fun!
If you do make more of these, here are some ideas:
Muppet characters as who they were in school
Muppet characters at a wedding
Beauregard I see as being the type who knows what the f-word is because he seems like the kind of person who was very much thought about the world by his parents and keeps his family values. hearing a swear word he would be the type that goes "Momma told me that was a no no word"
Yes! Kermit would ABSOLUTELY say fuck!
When he was first created, before he was marketed as kid/family friendly, he definitely had anger issues. He’s since chilled out in comparison but he’s still surrounded by idiots!
46:03 He would probably say oh fish paste like squidward
52:07 Technically, one of the Moopets did say "What the Waka" which is pretty their version of the F bomb during the credits of the 2011 Muppets movie.
So after every joke, Fozzie basically goes “Ahhhh fuck fuck!”
Me, who clicked on the video to find out where you would rank 80's Robot: 👁👄👁
"Because I'm not giving up! I'm still here and I'm stayin'!" - The Muppets Take Manhattan
To my research no Muppet has ever said it, although weirdly enough quite a few, Muppets have said hell including big bird, and Oscar has called someone a bastard
Nailed it with Dr Phil Van Neuter! During the Xmas Office Party sketch, the Do becomes increasingly hammered and drops the F bomb twice when being filmed.
I was actually going to say the same thing!
Anyone who watched the show knows Kermit will someday be cancelled for constantly screaming the f-bomb backstage. 😂
"beaker legally cannot swear"
counterpoint-he's swearing so much every single line is getting beeped out
This is such an entertaining video! I'm glad each character was taken seriously with the prompt. It was quite a fun exercise.
Do you have a link to the list you use? I've been trying to find a comprehensive list of Muppets to rank silly things like this and yours is the right amount of obscure and recognizable!
Not when it came to the Paris Hamilton pig
I feel like you underestimate how much little old ladies and mothers curse under their breath. Never in front of people, but behind closed doors....
Statler and Waldorf would just drop the F-Bomb and not care. They've reached that age where they don't care what anyone thinks.
If you've seen Trading Places, Statler and Waldorf are literally the muppet answer to Randolph and Mortimer Duke, even though they predate the Duke brothers.
I’ve never seen your videos before but the fact that you have the balls to unironically wear a yellow fedora makes you braver than any troop
I could see Kermit saying “for fuck’s sake” under his breath
Please make Sesame Street content
Agreed
That's Thumbnail Tho XD
If you consider more Tier Lists, I would want to see different subjects. Like Animated Crushes.
I don't know what's making me think of this, but I'm imagining a tier list like this using the cast of "Family Matters."
Regularly says it: Harriet
Has said it at some point: Carl, Eddie
Could say it if desired: Laura
Refuses to say it: Steve, Estelle
Cannot say it: Richie
Lol
But you forgot Judy ppl always forget her
I could see gonzo saying “f*ck yes!!!” While doing a stunt cuz it’s possible
I want to make one of these for Thomas The Tank Engine characters
i think Fozzie would say it as a joke simply cause someone tricked him into thinking it would make him funnier and then immedietly regret it
I really enjoy this. Very nice analysis about Muppets' swearing. Hope more of this.
Since everyone else is weighing in, I love the video! I would move Dr. Teeth down because his vocabulary is too eclectic and expansive for him to resort to using F-- but Janice I 100% agree with (yours and commenters’ opinions) 😂
0:51 Before I watch this video, I’m gonna say Animal would be in the very top of the list of saying the word “FUCK”. Think about it, his character is focused on food, drums, AND SEX!!!!! He rarely says a sentence with complete grammar. He only speaks in a few words. So I can imagine Animal running around with a demanding word repeatedly saying “FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK” anyways I’m gonna watch this now and see what spot he’s at
14:00 welp, I FUCKING CALLED IT!!!!!
What an age we're living in, that this niche subject has an hour long analysis/breakdown. Makes you think.
Dr. Phil Van Neuter did drop an F-bomb in Muppets Tonight, when Mulch was recording him being drunk off of eggnog at a Christmas party.
"Go easy on this eggnog!"
Gonzo will do a full parody of fear and loathing tell me about the f*cking golf shoes
If Zoot has ever cursed, he would say it out of context and forget he said it immediately after.
I’m Surprised there’s a Tier List of Characters that might dropped the F*$&@& Bomb but I love it and I would love to see More of Them.
How many Nintendo franchises could we do this to?
When he refused to misunderstanding Angel Marie, that made my heart happy 😭
Rank which Bear in the Big Blue House characters should say the F word
This was definitely an interesting video.
Wouldn’t be against seeing more like it. Maybe for Disney canon characters…?
Then it would be all of the villains
The bait and switch he did in Camilla’s segment almost got me thinking about the Duchess of Sussex for some reason. *Wheezes*
Ok, pure genius.
And so we come full circle to John Belushi's infamous complaint about the Mucking Fuppets! And if they couldn't say it on 1970s Saturday Night Live, could they ever say it?
I so wish I saw that episode.
Oh my! Wow never thought it'll be like this as the edge Lord you have become. I prefer not to swear alot but that's pretty funny to think The Muppets would actually swear in a actual Muppet show. 😳😆🐸 🐖 🐻 📺 📹
Mrs piggy just would cuss out Kermit a lot 😂😂😂😂😂 that girl is crazy “F YOU KERMIE !!!” 🐷🤦🏼♀️🤣
Will What's in the Box return as well as the Muppet vlog?
I already know that Gonzo has sworn on stage on multiple occasions
