There is NO consensus on when a fertilized egg becomes a person that should be granted all the rights and protections of the born and breathing. Neither science, nor religions agree and the Constitution doesn't mention the unborn at all, let alone grant them rights. Your birthdate determines your age, not any point in utero.

Proving again that the US Supreme Court was 100% CORRECT. State legislators know what boundaries the citizens of the state want and are perfectly capable of passing legislation to set those boundaries. The federal Constitution says nothing about abortion. The Supreme Court has no business legislating and should not be intervening where it doesn't belong.
I mean, it says nothing about segregation too. It's wrong, allowing States to make the wrong choice is harmful when they do so, looking at you alerbamer.
Which is why it's covered under civil rights act, which should be obvious, making everything from suffrage to now really dumb. Yes, medical decisions affecting a medical condition only a limited group of people protected under civil rights can have, is civil rights. Imagine outlawing sickle cell treatment. States rights to do so, some say. Some people are just wrong though, just like some States are wrong.
Some States would take a fee per vote in elections if they were allowed.
It’s interesting, though, that the Supreme Court decided to let states decide, yet in even conservative states, the citizens are voting against their own states’ bans. Apparently, We The People supersede “states rights”.
@@RoundShades The entire realm of civil rights law was created by the 14th Amendment. So the Constitution actually does say something very significant about segregation.
A "medical decision"? I'd suggest you take a moment and read up on the objections the other side has to this issue. They could give a flying fig about whatever medical decisions a woman makes when she's not pregnant. It's about the child's life, not a "medical decision".
