Good for Rod. True OLD SCHOOL rock and roll move. It that would have been Simmons and KISS they would have demanded a couple hundred bucks to "upgrade" or tossed them back.
Hard to believe that he is 76 years old ! Loved it when he called his fans down to the front seats. "They're just some high rollers that didn't bother to show up. You're my fans ! "
For some reason this came up on my feed 12/6/2021. The first concert that I'd ever attended was Rod Stewart & The faces, Uriah Heep & Elvin Bishop on 8/20/1975. Over 46 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. Insane!!
I must share this amazing story. First saw Sir Stewart in Toronto in August 1990. Sat on 3rd row, 5th seat. My (future husband, Steven) was at the same concert, 8th row, 8th seat. Fast forward 28 years, Steven and I met online. When we met in person, Maggie May was playing on the radio. When we decided to have dinner, a couple of musicians came into the restaurant to play. They sang a few of Roddy's songs. When Steven drove home, Maggie May played in different stations. When we got married in 2019, we went to see Rod Stewart at Cesar's Palace in October 2019. Pretty awsome!!! Fast forward,
Nuthin but love and respect for Rod Stewart. Seeing him do this for a fan is just a whole new level of FUCKING AWESOME. Guys like that are the artists that deserve the loyalty of their fans. He's still having a great time and making sure his people are gonna leave with a smile!!
Real Rod Stewart fans wouldn't be caught dead at one of these shows. I remember partying with Rod and the band in Montreal at Club Wanda strip joint after one of his concerts in the late 80s, and that version of Rod Stewart wouldn't have been caught anywhere near one of these shows either, whether watching or performing.
@@barcham Tickets up front at Vegas are $900. Tickets in the next section (where this lady was moved from) are $500. To be clear, Rod puts on a great show and nothing wrong with making $$$, but the notion that he is "doing it for his fans" is absurd. 99.9% of fans cannot afford to attend this show. Rod alludes to this himself when he says many front seats are empty because the high rollers bought the seats but did not even bother to show up... Congrats to those who saw Rod in the 1970s for 10 bucks.
Rod Stewart. Talent and sexiness is a prerequisite . What a spirit of “life of the party” he still maintains after all these decades. As doesJagger and the Stones! Pioneer of rock n roll entertainment!🤘🎼❤️
Infactuation. Oh my, I totally forgot all about this tune. Watching Rod perform it today, it's gold. You gotta give these guys credit. This takes a ton of energy. And Rod is doing it with pure naturalism and professionalism. Keep er going Rod! Love it man.
I grew up a fan of Ozzy and Motley Crue, friends thought I was crazy when I threw Rod in that mix. Always loved him and still do. No one cooler and more real.
That was a great performance from Rod and his whole band. Rod looks so fit and healthy for his age, he is always so natural on stage, a breath of fresh air!
@Howard, I think that you need to check Rod's history. He wasn't natural on stage; he's had to work at it. He used to hide behind the speakers to sing he was so afraid of coming on stage.
I was at a rod the God concert years ago and he said to the crowd, they dont like dancing but if we all stand up and do it, theres nothing they can do!!!! Legend!!!!
And that isn't all he pleases the old folk to he sings the40s and 50s songs on cable that place is all ages so he doesn't let anybody down he tries to please everybody so he can sit sing old and new and really still Rock oh by the way I'm 87 years old night night LOL😍😍😍😍😍
Whoever said 'British comedy is dead?' Here's Rod! He's a karaoke king, the master of a drunken fathers night out, such a star and he ALWAYS gets the fat one, covered in tattoos at the end of the night! That takes skill (and a few pints of Stella). He's a true gem!
I went to see Rod Stewart at The Syndrome in Chicago in about 1970 or 1971, and he ended up not showing because he'd come down with a bad cold. But the opening act, The Grease Band, that backed up Joe Cocker at Woodstock, played twice as long, and they were awesome. Never did get to see Rod live.
I didn’t know what to expect at the first MTV video awards, then Rod came out in his purple suit and opened the show up with Infatuation and then I knew I was in for one heck of a night.37 years ago.Seems like 37 minutes ago.time flys.
Say what you want...he was part of the soundtrack to my youth in the 70s. "Hot Legs," "Maggie Mae" and " Do You Think I'm Sexy" was ALWAYS playing somewhere...over the outdoor speakers at the lake, in the gameroom on the jukebox at the campground we visited every summer, or somewhere on Casey Kasem's Top 40 countdown, which I listened to every Sunday after church.
Wow, so many who have found fame and wealth became totally self-centered, and with such a mindset lost all empathy toward others. Cheers to Rod for caring about people and remembering that it is his fans who have provided him his station in life. Rod said, "these are my fans" and that said it all. Hats off to Rod!
I got stuck in an airport with Rod and his mates around 1986 and he gave me his zebra sun visor he was wearing and signed it as well... He was very personable, we talked for about an hour until our flights were finally called again...
Wow, this background singers are so beautiful. What a cool show. I was up in the air about seeing Rod Stewart in a few months at Caesar’s. We booked Aerosmith at MGM at almost three times the price of Rod Stewart tickets. Seeing this, I kind of wish we bought Rod Stewart tickets instead. I’ve just been a casual fan, not really paying much attention to his works besides what comes on the radio. But I’m a Kiss fan, and Paul Stanley absolutely loves Rod Stewart as a singer. He is Paul’s favorite singer. So, now I’m check out Rod’s music and it’s pretty fucking good with a harder rock sound than I expected. Fuck it. I’m buying those Rod Stewart tickets at Caesar’s.
Rod Stewart. Talent and sexiness is a prerequisite . What a spirit of “life of the party” he still maintains after all these decades. As doesJagger and the Stones! Pioneer of rock n roll entertainment!🤘🎼❤️
I helped cook at his 40th Birthday celebration at George Bests club “ Blondes in Mayfair “ back in the early 80’s and was fortunate enough too meet him and too ask him too autograph a menu , he was a real gentleman and so Friendly , I am 15 years younger than him , but he still looks the same Rock on Rod 👍
Honeymooned in the islands (St. Lucia) back in 2003. Rod had a standards CD out (I think it was the American Songbook CDs.) He was literally blasting from every nook and cranny of the island. I believe he had toured there/near there...and it was like the excitement that surrounded him in the 70s/80s. Only a class act that cares about his fans as much as they do about him can survive this long in the business. I suspect he loves the fans even more. Kudos to him for that!
Jim Powers - thank you. I just wanted to thank you so much for the videos of concerts. I have a few of them in my artists folders. But this is the first time I've commented (mostly because I watch on my widescreen TV and do not mirror so I could type comments!) But you do such a fantastic job no matter where you're sitting. And with this Rod Stewart concert I just had to pause and go to my smart phone to thank you. I don't get out much now due to my health but when I was young, well younger, I'm only 57, I have probably seen close to a hundred concerts. And you do such a great job I almost feel like I'm there. Keep it going! Thanks again. And again and again for each of the artists I like that you share. Surprisingly I never saw Rod in concert. So coolio, man. Rock on.
È un piacere seguire ROD STEWART, nei suoi bellissimi video, anche nella sua avanzata età, che può dare scuola, bravissimo , faccio anche un elogio alla sua Band musicale. Dall'italia cordiali saluti.
Rod addresses security at 6:02 to let his fans up front
That's the old Mod spirit!

I like common sense, thank you for yours✌
“They’re just high rollers who don’t show up!”
Rod has a old spirit. Peace Love and Happiness. Would love to see him this go around
Rod is from a generation that may never repeat itself. He is big, bigger that many of today's artists. What a classy and super talented human being.
Yes he really is a classy man I'm in ❤️ again he is 🔥 hot so good looking he looks 40 in believable

RIP Jeff Beck - can’t replace the original guitarist on this one and his MIND-BLOWING solo!
Mmmm what was this solo? Not really any tribute to the original at all.

Agree 100%.
What nonsense. He is playing Vegas. Chasing the $$$. But Rod puts on a good show for the 1% that can afford the $900 tickets.
Wat a nice man rod stewart

Saw him there in '19. The best show I have EVER seen.
His voice is still GOLDEN!
I'm infatuated with his backup singers!😆
30 years ago, if he played Vegas his backup singers would have been topless showgirls.
They look and dancanddance ... And it looks like they can actually sing.
You mean the NOW RARE sighting of blondes ? 🤷🏼♀️💃🏼

Absolutely nothing but love and respect Rod Stewart 100% a gentleman

Been rocking with Rod since Faces and Ron Wood was in the band. Lot of good times and lots of hits, True Rock Legend.

Respect!!! Much love to Sir Rod ❤❤
Here's another reason why I love Rod! What a class act!
Rod Stewart is awesome! And moral of the story, don't show up late to one of Rod's shows; even if you're a high roller - you may lose your seat. LOL

Rod is SO cool! Will love him till my dying day. He sounds good, looks good and has a great personality! Love him.
Love how he let's everybody lead the stage. He's the main man but he let's everybody else shine and enjoy themselves.
Whoever said 'British comedy is dead?' Here's Rod!

Love when he puts the rocking songs in his setlist, not big on the crooner stuff I love his old stuff from the 70s and 80s
It won't be much longer and you will be privy to his "begger stuff"..
LOL
