You'd have to Apply online for Young adult cards on-line. They don't sell them in shops. But if you wish to get 50% off fares I would stongly suggest getting one as It doesn't cost as much.

Just tap on and off like leap otherwise you are still basically travelling without a ticket. Even though it's free.
