I love WnGs. They grew my 4B/4C textured hair. There are lots of naturals who swear by them. I'm not going to demonise them, but I will say that it's how you take care of it, how often you rewash/detangle, trim ends to reduce tangles and using the products that works and provide slip etc.
I love WnGs too.
By no means am I discouraging people to do them. I have done all the above you mentioned. For my hair I won’t be doing wash and go weekly as a style, for me I don’t think they are healthy for my hair. I want healthy hair.
I feel the method of hair care I once did is the reason for my dislike of wash and go.
I am by no means telling anyone to stop doing wash and go. The very nature of my message of this Channel is do what works for you.
All the people who are pivoting are people who have done all the above, getting trims every 3-4 months paying over $2-300 per trims and now have to big chop their hair.

I think you can get through the open products. But I am happy to see that people are realizing that wash and go is a style. Too much of anything can be bad. TFS I am excited to see you navigate your new journey.

I use the Obia Naturals as a topper over the KC knot today and KCCC. This combo has been my staple for the past 6 mos during the fall and winter. I love it!

Like you, I go back and forth with all styles. I’ve never been a one style person, and I have to be in a mood to twist my hair because it takes forever!!
Yes twisting initial takes more time that’s what I perceived initially but they the drying time on those wash and go 😁.
I am able to do everything in 2 hours and 30 minutes and dry for 10 minutes and then I let my hair air dry the rest of the way.
My hair will be shorter so hopefully drying my hair will take less time.

I would use some of those gels over leave in conditioner when I do twists. That would use them up and twist out will last longer too 😊

I am so proud of myself because I am almost done using up all of my stash. I am going to stick with the Doux products for styling and deep conditioning. I will stick with Olaplex for everything else. Feels good to get through the stash and not waste my money 😂

I have quite a few wash and go products to use up. I'm definitely using them with leave ins. I will just trash them if I don't like the results. I'm over holding on to dead weight in my stash. I'm going back to just having kinky curly and Obia custard in my stash.
