Hi Ken-san, Thankyou for doing this video. A visit to a local Izakaya is top on my list when visiting Japan. I have seen some with a lot of beautiful writing around the walls. I think this is the menu and specials. I am studying hard so I can read what is written. The owners seemed very friendly and natural too.
Wow dude. Thank you so much for showing the real stuff. I REALLY appreciate it. This is extremely hard and I accept the challenge to learn. Domo arigato
@MrBoDiggety Because you watched this video. I make content for Japanese learners and people who visit Japan! So I just thought you were visiting Japan soon!😊
@@kensanokaeri You are absolutely right Ken. We are visiting Japan and I am learning Japanese. You are brilliant. I've seen your vid about 10 times since. Trying to pick up subtle words, pitch accents, and pronunciation. I think I just passed beginner level and am now discovering a higher level. I look forward to all watching all of your videos. Please make more.
Ken san, thank you for your videos… where do I find that particular Izakaya? Do I need to go to instagram? Really enjoying the learning process from your videos 🫶
Ken san, since it was mentioned. In general, is it ok to wipe off your face with that hot/warm towel? I’ve been telling my kids not to, I am not doing it too. But Takki san did it, and said it seems he doesn’t mind doing it. What say you Ken san?
There isn't a clear rule for this. Some people say it's acceptable to follow Takki-san's example, while others find it embarrassing to do so in front of everyone. So, you could choose to wipe your face if you feel the need. However, in my opinion as a male Japanese person, it's best to avoid doing so on a date or in the presence of someone you're trying to impress. Your idea is very beautiful (→ You’ve been telling your kids not to, you are not doing it too.) I occasionally find myself doing it during the summer when I dine out alone or with my close male friends or family. This is especially true in Nagoya, my hometown in Japan, where the summer humidity can be intense. Nevertheless, I don't exaggeratedly wipe my face.😊👍
Thank you for this video. It is helpful when I visit Japan.
Enaさん、thanks for watching!😄👍

This is where the restaurant is on Google Maps→ maps.app.goo.gl/M3UipvFpcgQHwCea7
Can you do the explanation part in Japanese instead of in English? Arigatou Ken-san!
I need the explanation in English😅
@@carolannebrown6156 but I think @ml3989 meant with Eng. subtitles. I would prefer that way too.
While I agree, he also is practicing his English the way we are with Japanese. So I get why he did it :)

Fabio
Wonder is it also common to visit izakaya alone?
Yeah
Luther

if you have your subtitles in phonetics, that would be so so much more useful.

My friend in this video(タッキーさん) doesn't have a RUclips channel...😅
