Ken san, since it was mentioned. In general, is it ok to wipe off your face with that hot/warm towel? I’ve been telling my kids not to, I am not doing it too. But Takki san did it, and said it seems he doesn’t mind doing it. What say you Ken san?
こんにちは！ There isn't a clear rule for this. Some people say it's acceptable to follow Takki-san's example, while others find it embarrassing to do so in front of everyone. So, you could choose to wipe your face if you feel the need. However, in my opinion as a male Japanese person, it's best to avoid doing so on a date or in the presence of someone you're trying to impress. Your idea is very beautiful (→ You’ve been telling your kids not to, you are not doing it too.) I occasionally find myself doing it during the summer when I dine out alone or with my close male friends or family. This is especially true in Nagoya, my hometown in Japan, where the summer humidity can be intense. Nevertheless, I don't exaggeratedly wipe my face.😊👍
