It’s worse when they require you to use a certain character to progress in a certain mission. It’s add an extra level of difficulty that the player can’t do anything about. Imagine you could earn SRR cards by beating the game on a certain difficulty or finding a secret or something. That would be much more fun than gambling 😭
i like playing these games cuz i make it a challenge to live on f2p only, ive been playing genshin, star rail, and wuwa since launch and i havent spent a dime >:)
6 to 7 dollar monthly card gem it is fine per month. Also I glad the game kinda tells you to stop and wait time gating. For the people that jobs and able to play casually.
You know the best way to play gacha games? Treat it as what it is: ignore the gacha because that is not the genre, its a mechanic. Take Genshin; treat is as an RPG game like BOTW. You can literally clear the main story with just free characters. Any characters you can get with the free gems is just a plus. Done with the current story? Play another game while waiting for the game to release the next content. You know, like every other live service game? There are so many gacha games out there that I play and have never spent anything on: Project Sekai, Honkai Impact, ZZZ, Azur Lane, etc. I dont stress out on pulling because I play everything for what the game is, not for pulling characters.
Hey man thanks for leaving your thoughts. Definitely look back fondly at my times in ToF despite sinking my savings into it and I still go back to listen to the OST sometimes. That's great that you can enjoy the game F2P I have friends who have nothing but still spent whatever little they had into buying more rolls. You could say it's their responsibility but I also don't think games that nudge people to destructive gambling habits are healthy for gaming or gamers as a whole.
@@super9192 Again, you paid for something, and you got something in return. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, in gacha, even physical ones, is valued the same. Its the chance of getting what you want is what they control. (this is in the context its the same game, or the same machine. You're the type of person who'd point out not all gachas costs the same unless I point it out just so you can say something).
I mean maybe if you made some research or talked to people that have experience in said games instead of blindly guessing on the topic, the video would have more than 75 views
@@debpunlord I have never spent a dime on the game and play it once per month when new content drops. You dont ever need to pull, you dont ever need to reach the late game, you dont ever need to grind and still enjoy the game plenty. The devs actually almost never expand on the late game in the first place because they dont want to put any pressure on their players and keep the game very casual which is very uncommon for a gacha game. That is also their main selling point. If the creator were to give an honest try to their main focus or if they talked to any creators about the game or anyone who plays the game in the first place, their view would be different. The game has its setbacks but its not anything they mentioned and the points they made are to put it bluntly, false. Thats why I am talking about research, its a poorly put together video making assumptions on a few outside views.

Sounds like a good idea! Maybe some games could try using that system

You spend 1000$ on tower on fantasy, tower of fantasy burned my motherboard. We are not the same.
Godzilla had a stroke reading that shit and fucking died

i dont care what gacha defenders say; take a shower immediately.

It is not gambling. You ALWAYS get something from gacha. You can lose everything in gambling.
But what you win means nothing out of the game .
Wow a 3 star weapon or a useless png has so much value!!!! Like 2 exp as fodder wowzers

Meanwhile gacha characters are destroying design... for everything else. Makes all the uglyness in western games even more apparent.
