    good to someone else using a kick wheel. I started throwing about 4 years ago @ a community college and was the only person to use the kick wheel they had. I know no one personally to use the kick wheel for throwing. They are offer much more control than electric. Great video btw.

    @elimedgalci1304 7 лет назад

    could anybody help me about what kind of color he uses on newsprint? and how he apply it couse color leaves the newsprint completely? and 3. could I use this teq. on ceramic clay or if I'm going to use it on ceramics what kind of color should I use?

    • @mitchlyons3181
      @mitchlyons3181 7 лет назад +1

      Eli music,
      The color I use on newsprint is a porcelain slip mixed with Mason Stains. I use
      lots of teqs. including brushing on the slip onto newsprint. About 90% of the slip
      is transfered to the slab. Of course you can use it on any kind of clay. I use a
      stoneware clay with porcelain slips.
      Mitch Lyons
      I have a DVD for sale that explains all of the transfer teqs.

    Hey i am exytremely interested in trying this out, i am a student in Dublin, could you tell me, are you using air dry clay and glazes?
    @mitchlyons1

    • @mitchlyons3181
      @mitchlyons3181 7 лет назад +2

      KenDano,
      I am using a cone 10 stoneware clay and adding a porcelain slip mixed with
      Mason Stains. I do not use glazes. I fire my work in a salt kiln.
      I do have a DVD Handbuilding With Mitch Lyons for sale.

      Mitch Lyons let me ask you, I'm using Opal clay, how can I create a colour slip that can go onto the wet opal and then into a bisque ? thanks for the reply Mitch. I love your ideas,

    • @mitchlyons3181
      @mitchlyons3181 7 лет назад

      KenDano,
      Get yourself a blender and add the Opal clay and water till you have a slip. Add
      Mason stains to the Opal slip to get colored slip.
      Mitch

    While the design techniques were interesting, the title is misleading. There was nothing about hand building without a seam in this video!

    • @colleentucker9245
      @colleentucker9245 Год назад

      Did you see a seam in that wedding piece? Normally with slab building, there would be a seam. Maybe you don't understand hand building.
