Please DO NOT use the belt path if you are using the latch system!!!! The video shows feeding the seatbelt through but if you used the latch system and buckled the two orange pulls into your cars latch it actually makes it LESS safe to use the belt path afterward. The belt path should be used only if you don’t have access to a latch system (which is in all relatively newer cars - I believe after 2008?) and/or if you don’t have your base e.g. getting in and out of taxi cabs. Long story short is please refer to the owners manual and not this video for how to install. The video does a nice job of showing features of the car seat. But regardless of the type of car seat you should almost never install with both latch system and your car’s seatbelt. Again, read your owners manual for your specific car seat. If you would find a video helpful for installing the MESA, refer to the one posted on the UPPAbaby brand’s RUclips channel.
Yes, thank you for clarifying! As our video states there are two options when attaching the base, which are not meant to be done simultaneously. You're so knowledgeable in car seats--you could be a Cubby Mom! :)
I find the Mesa is “harder” and not as comfy/plush as some of the other car seats from Peg and Nuna. Is that on purpose? Is baby as comfy?
Baby is comfortable, but some car seats definitely have more plush than others!
What is the purpose of those blue sides on the car seat?
It is a visual indication of where your seatbelt will go when installing without a base!
Uppababy or chicco keyfit?
This is the Uppababy Mesa infant car seat!
seriously?
@@jincs151 how can I help you with your confusion?
Chicco uses flame retardant chemicals in the car seat. Those are not healthy for a new born. For anyone really but more so for infants.

You don’t show how to loosen the car seat straps on the baby. I wish you would do that because it’s not as easy as you think.
Sorry about that! You can call our store and talk to a Cubby Mom for tips!
