For anybody shopping in this price range, that sceptre monitor is perfect as they’re usually new to pc gaming and wont notice the issues. I had a sceptre (it became my secondary monitor) but loved it for 1080
6:50 I really like that "Dusk" mouse pad. I just put that on my wish list spreadsheet. Also, the middle mountains almost looks like a silhouette of Batman's head.
Another great video, Ed! I've been working on my laptop setup for a year now and a lot of my stuff comes from Amazon too! I can't wait to finish my setup to one day show you!
When it comes to the monitor and ghosting you should try lowing the refresh rate to 144Hz. From what I've been reading it turns out a lot of 165Hz monitors are 'overclocked' to reach that goal and it can cause issues.
Damn this is definetely one of the best choices you could get for 1000$. Couldn’t have made it better, that thing looks awesome! Expected a lot less to be honest🔥
I watch your videos and get pumped up to upgrade my setup as well. But I do not start doing it because I don't know where to start. I become overwhelmed with the pressure and give up eventually.
Hey RockCaesarPaper, we have a Discord server where people discuss ideas and recommend products for setups all the time. Have a look at the #setups channel @ discord.gg/techsource This should really help you out to create a setup plan based on your needs and preferences! Hope to see you there!
A quick way to get a better desk for less is to get a used door (which is usually less than 30-40) and get some two by 4s, some bolts, and small l brackets to mount it on the wall just rest the door on the two by 4s and use some plumbers pipe or something for the remaining corner or two. Depends on if you put the desk in a corner or in the middle of the wall. I built mine that’s 94 inches wide and could easily support 5 people for just 45 dollars including the door. I can dm anyone pictures if they want :)
This is why I love you bro. You include the cost of the pc which makes your vids so much more reasonable and helpful unlike other RUclipsrs who take out the bulk of the cost just to make an unrealistic “$1000 setup”.
Hey Ed, just saw the Discord notification. I just want to let you know you’re awesome and you’ve done so much for so many people we will always support you take the time you need for the mouse pads.❤
@@TechSource That would be awesome! I would also like to see a video of you making a whole gaming setup worth 3000 dollars. I am planning on making a gaming setup but really cant find the best parts for the pc and the setup itself, so that would be very useful for me!
When I moved out from dorms second year, I bought the exact same desk lol, it was so cheap and although the screw in the middle of the “X” often loses, it held everything on my desk fine! Always go budget!
Yo Ed I’m I was wondering what a good pc would be for under $1600. I’ve been wanting a pc for a while and I don’t have the money for one. But I just want to know a good recommendation
i had a 24” spectre monitor for not even a year and the screen would dim out of nowhere and sometimes even shut off by itself. i ended up getting an acer monitor about two months ago and so far no issues :)
Finally looking forward to submiting my setup in the next few months. It has literally taken me years to finish because of setbacks... i am aiming for that Seal Of Approval been dreaming for a setup like this since my teenage years. Will have before and after pictures too.
I like the fact that Ed tries different things such as this(buying a setup with only 1K). So those of you who can't afford expensive setups, maybe this is more in your price range?
Anyone considering this: Spend more on a mouse with a pixart sensor to avoid tracking loss. Get a pair of samson sr850s for much better sound quality and comfort, and dont buy the speakers. Get a $10-15 strelseries mousepad, which are solid for beginners in most games. Don't buy a new desk or chair. Look for used ones, as they will be cheaper, better quality, and reduce waste.
This video will help me a ton when the time comes. Once I get my own place, I heard between 1500-2k is a really really good budget but if you can do this for 1,000 then by all means I’m down for it. I just want to get use to pc and then eventually in the future, the more I learn and research I will upgrade stuff
Ikea cooktop with office legs is comparable in price, much sturdier and won't sag at all. Rocking it for 2 years now with an extra leg in the middle and it's going great, really solid
Those Sony headphones you got are really bad for me cause while gaming using th hem they seem to always slip out of the aux port it’s very annoying for me 😢.
The issue with the amazing amazon return service is that it is very likely you will also be buying returned goods. I bought a Pc case for Xmas and I had to return it because it was clearly opened and packaged again. I am not sure buying a motherboard on Amazon is a good idea.
cable management, good option ill add it to my next spendings. I never did it before but sounds intersting the way it look like to the end of the day. Nice one
honestly that dusk desk bap is super nice, im not just super big on having logos on them. If that logo wasnt in the corner i would totally buy that its pretty sick.
After the all white setup I’d love to see an all black setup soon. The keyboard in this video as well as the mic and speakers may have to pick those up
If this video can get 10k likes I’ll build an all white gaming/streaming setup next! But what budget should I focus on?

Seeing Ed fall off the chair again made me chuckle (the shot of you testing out the chair instantly reminded me of your wish setup vid 😂)

Literally taking tips and maintaining them to add into my setup definitely will be once a part of the setup wars
Super happy to hear that Ansh! Looking forward to seeing your setup!
Ed you should make a 1500$ and 2000$ setups respectively! really loving these new ideas
Love the videos ed, you have inspired me to build a setup and I’m hoping to finish it within the next few months.
That's awesome Luke! Looking forward to seeing your setup on the show!

Hope to get my setup on setup wars soon have my room under restoration and it’s looking insane

I have been waiting for a video like this. Keep up the good work
Hehe good to hear!
I've had the pebble speakers for 2 years and they slap. Great audio, small, easy to tuck behind the monitor.
Thanks Ed I love how your more focused on the budget side of things thank you🙏
I ordered the Creative Pebble speakers (in white) to match my small setup. I love your channel. Thank you for all your work!

Hehe yeah, budget setups are very popular!

Ed-"this is the exact same chair as the wish setup"- proceeds to fall the same.
I like the consistency gotta give you that.

At last perfect timing !

The Creative Pebbles are it for the budget gamers, definitely get the one with the subwoofer if you can spend a little more.

Love the gaming setup! Turned out great!
Amazing video! Would love to see a 2,000 setup!
The Sony headphones are actually so durable and good for their price, I've had my pair for over 3 years now and I'm yet to see a problem with it.
Those Sony headphones you got are really bad for me cause while gaming using th hem they seem to always slip out of the aux port it’s very annoying for me 😢.

should of used the black topo that amount of white on the dusk clashes way to much. Overall a fun budget setup though and solid vid
Hey Ed, I have your camo blue mousepad and you said its machine washable but can I also machine dry it or does it need to be hang dried?
hi ed, i found you channel in december and i have watched so many videos. i just recently bought a pc, and im hoping to soon upgrade it!
Very helpful! Thanks bro!
I personally would've made the desk black because you said it came in different colors, the brown looks like a saw thumb on an all black setup
From the quality of the Desk, I'd say a way better alternative, sturdy, durable and cheaper, is the Ikea Lagkapten desk.
love the vids! nice work
i love how this dude managed to build a better looking setup with a 1k budget comapred to my 3.5k! amazing work dude
The A and S keycaps were swapped round when you took them off…I noticed it near the second set of keyboard B-roll and now I can’t unsee it
