Here because I found what works for newer models. Hold the audio button and rotate the volume knob back and forth 5 or 6 times and yoll get rhis menu. Worked on my 2022 q60 rs400
It's not fake exhaust noise, it's engine compartment noise being amplified and fed through the speakers. BMW and others have it on some of their models was well.
Your directions worked perfectly on my 2016 Q50 RS400, but I honestly could not tell any big difference at all ??? Getting a Stillen Stage 2 catback anyway, love the car, way too quiet stock exhaust.........
doesn't ASC stand for "Adaptive Shift Control"? i don't believe that is affiliated with amplified intake sounds whatsoever, please correct me if i am mistaken. the fact that you state in the comments below your vehicle does not have a muffler so it will be loud regardless leads me to believe you have no idea whether or not disabling ASC has any effect on that sound feature. just trying to get correct information put out there, thank you for discovering this menu in any event.
Sorry for the confusion, I'm certain it's audio related. It does make a difference even with my muffler delete. . the noise added sounds like a video game. Turned off it's nice and quiet and natural sounding. I have since went back to a muffler setup since I do a lot of long road trips. I couldn't stand the noise anymore. I now have and on, fake exhaust off and stock muffler attached to my 3" cat back. I understand that I might not have the same performance, but it's better than stock and almost just as quiet.
Chris Robaina I think so. Someone else had this problem. I think her name is Ashley in the q50/q60 group on Facebook. Maybe try disconnecting the sub and then disable the noise control thing and reconnect the sub. See, what is happening is that the car thinks it's road noise and is sending out cancelation signals to block it.
z31man yea, even with the subwoofer disconnected that anc/asc option doesn't come up. I know with bmw there's a harness you just disconnect. Wish it was easy to do for infiniti. I would love to enjoy my sound system while I'm driving
were you ever able to figure this out? I'm having the same problem. Just installed a subwoofer and it makes the sound. No option in menu to disable ASC/ANC
I know it's two years later but thought I'd chime in anyway...just bought a 17 q60 and installed amp & sub and was having the same issue when accelerating and getting feedback through the sub. The menu is accessible but kinda tricky to get to, it took me a few tries but I finally got it and turning off the ANC is what fixed it for me.
@@ra1investments580 any clue how i can get to the acs menu, i tried the steps on youtube, but the acs settings doesnt pop up, just everything else. My front pssanger speaker is blown, and only makes static noise when i Accelerate
A very simple answer. Not all people want a loud exhaust all the time. The ability to control this with the push of a button is awesome. Maybe they want to hear an exhaust once in a while.
It's great to turn off if you want your car to be quieter when driving. It's also great to turn off when you get an aftermarket exhaust setup. With a different exhaust, you will be able to hear the real exhaust and this fake exhaust at the same time. Not something you would want in my opinion.

made a big difference! no fake sound when off and in sport +
It worked after a couple try's on my 2017 Q50 red sport awd ... thank you
all u had ro say was tour car 😂 this ngga might as well say all his mods too

It's definitely fake noise, with it if the engine sounds nothing like what comes through the speakers. It's much much better in fact, just quieter.
Thank you this worked instantly
Glad to hear it still works.
I like how the 2017 Q60rs has the nicer shifter knob that the Q50's didn't get until 2018 or 19

How about drone on the Stillen?
i have a stillen catback on my G, no drone for me.
Does this work on my 2015 q50 3.7 premium? I got to the menu but no ASC/ANS options
Nope only on the 2017 q60s newer
Yes it does! I just accessed mine a few days a go randomly 😊
Thanks for this! So what's the difference between the asc and anc?
2017 and people still don't know how to record a normal video. Hold your phone sideways, so simple.
You can full screen on RUclips now, keep it on portrait and hit the full screen button. It's full screen portrait.
It’s 2018 and people bitch about everything.
what else does the anc/asc control?
Is the fake exhaust used in Q60 non red sport S ?

bo darville Active Sound Control (ASC), Active Noise Control (ANC)
I thought in audio (ANC) stand for Active Noise Cancellation.

Does it also affect the sound outside the car or only inside?
Just inside.
Good info - Thanks
Is this only for sport models? I installed a subwoofer and it doesn't give me that option. My subwoofer is annoying every time I accelerate

Wow didn't know about that menu. Can you do a before and after in cabin video to see the sound difference?
CG3 I don't have a muffler. So mine will be loud regardless.
I have a 2020 q50 RS iline WITH BOSE system and cannot get this to work...any help would be greatly appreciated Thx
I can't help, I don't have my car anymore. Are you able to enter the "secret" menu?
Random, but would anyone know how to turn it on, and keep it on in all modes?
Available for 2014?
This only works for Bose equip Q50/60 I guess?
I don't understand why Infiniti would think that people would prefer a fake exhaust instead of a real one

Anyone know if there is a similar diagnostics menu on 2.2d models?.
I haven't tried. can you try and let us know?
Yes same menu on 2.2d. Just for bose system sound.
I have a 17 Q50 Silver Sport... what is the point of this feature? Should I do it? What is the means for it?

+z31man mmm interesting... maybe after I install my Down pipes and exhaust I'll give it a try
@@g0t2bmiirii you don't have this feauture
Just try on my 16 Q50 Redsport got nothing....no option screen
Got it!!!! Thanks
There's gotta be a harness or something I can just disconnect
Chris Robaina maybe. I haven't looked into that.
