400 MG Tech | Stromberg Carburetor Troubleshooting

Is there a vacuum? If not, clean out the tiny hole. If there is a vacuum, confirm that the vacuum piston works correctly.

Hello Sir, can you do a removal and repair of the speed guage. The needle does come up, but bobbs up and down

You may have a bent speedometer cable or angle drive. There should be a brass spacer between the cable and the angle drive. Also check that the cable doesn't have any sharp turns/bends this will cause your cable to bind. If these two examples do not correct the issue you may need to send the speedometer to be rebuilt. Check with Moss. They have a support department that can point you in the right direction.
