The successor to the Caliphate is chosen based on his character, knowledge, etc - not based on their lineage. The Ulama and the people find someone who is good mentally, physically, and especially spiritually (often the best person to pick as a leader is the one who will insist in not wanting to be one in the first place). The Rashidun Caliphate is the best example of what a Caliphate is supposed to be - anything after it is deviated. If for what ever reason he turns to be a bad leader then to the best of my knowledge the Ulama or otherwise some other influential figure in the Government need to overthrow him and pick someone else as the Caliphate. Needed this dude to take part in Sri Lankan temperance movement
Murad had to be cruel because his uncle, mother father and brother left the empire in a miserable way, the treasures were empty, the empire was facing a high downfall that started from his ancestor grand grandfather sultan Suleiman's death
"Murad IV banned alcohol, tobacco, and coffee in Constantinople. He ordered execution for breaking this ban. He would reportedly patrol the streets and the lowest taverns of Constantinople in civilian clothes at night, policing the enforcement of his command by casting off his disguise on the spot and beheading the offender with his own hands."
I read that years ago and found it hilarious in a messed up kind of way, the idea of a Sultan going undercover to catch people breaking his laws, and then revealing himself and beheading them on the spot. Watching it... not so much.
If a king goes undercover like this he's risking his life. His own guards could kill him
Its not uncommon for a ruler to do something like this, as in disguising as a commoner amongst the people, as an Islamic empire, this practice was done by many Islamic Caliph, the most notable amongst them was the 2nd Caliph of Islam, Umar ibn Al Khattab, he would travel by himself to serve the common people with their needs, and checking who was breaking the law, without revealing that he was the Caliph of the Muslims, and many other Caliph follow his example after him such as the Caliph of the Umayyad Dynasty, Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, and Caliph of the Abbasid Dynasty, Haroon al Rashid

But its 16 or 17 century so maybe its ok?🥺
That’s not exactly why no.
The Judge accepting the Bribe was proof right then and there that the Judge had done this in the past.
He was executed because he allowed and overlooked crimes when he was supposed to reinforce them, ie. Allowed corruption to take place (him having a “concious” and being “merciful” is just smart talk - he was overlooking the crimes for more additional money).
Islamic law states that those who spread corruption are to be killed since, on a societal level, is worse than killing. You can see this in some of the biggest countries in the world, USA being a prime example - their societies are starting to go wrong because that level of corruption is going unanswered and unchecked and people are getting fed up by it.
Mishaal Kisan then who will kill sultan if he start corruption 🧐
@@kiratdosanjh3772 Well, in the first place, a person of upstanding character is supposed to be chosen as the Caliphate by the Ulama - not an utter nutcase. The original Caliphate model isn't a Heretical Monarch (where a male heir inherits the throne).
That of course would mean a civil war would take place since there can't be two Caliphs (although they've tried doing this, it's never really worked out well - one of them always ended up defeating the other).
