@@goldensuzaku I always thought that too. Also that maybe because of his contract that he can't make new soul contracts himself or that he couldn't have one with Charlie. In someone's fanfic gave another great idea from this episode when you see the stitches on Alastor's mouth is that he can't tell anything about his contract.
I think angel wings do fully "disappear" when not in use, and pretty sure hers were torn off at the base. If she had had stubs, I'm pretty sure Charlie would've known about them. They do share a bedroom, after all.
My personal theory about her wings is that they actually regenerated quite a while ago. They were torn off, not cut out with angelic steel like her eye, so if heaven's souls have the same regenerative capabilities as Sinners, there's no reason they shouldn't have healed eventually. The reason she never used them was that, as Husk put it so nicely in E4, "she hates herself". I think she was (consciously or unconsciously) suppressing her angelic self until that session with Carmilla where she chose to let go of her hatred and vengeance and, subsequently, her self-loathing, which allowed her to fully utilize her angelic gifts.

I think I heard that Rosie only allows her people to eat those who are permanently dead, or who have been torn apart too much that they need to have a completely new form. So, they can’t regrow in stomachs or anything. Good question, though.

Viv explained that the cannibal town practiced ethical cannibalism since the sinners just respon when you kill them without a angelic weapon (what happens to the body doesn't matter) they don't like the extermination because it's wasteful since it's only 1 meal per body instead of infinite.
Literally the only complaint I can muster about this show is they didn’t have enough time, they had to keep the story tight and moving quick to get it in eight episodes, so we couldn’t have more of a reaction to Vaggie’s wings for example. It’s so so so so fucking good I just-WE NEED MORE! 😭
And now we have to wait 1 and a half, or two years…

The speed made this whole season felt like an 8-episode pilot. They didn’t voice recording a couple years ago, so maybe they didn’t know there would be a season 2 early on enough.
Yeah, a full season of 12 episodes would have been great. Would have been able to keep what we have, and just have time to flesh some stuff out. Give some time to breathe. It's a shame they got a short season, so they had to speedrun it.

I love these. It’s like a big watch party, which is nice for those of us who don’t have anyone to watch it with. I adore Rosie so much. She gives Charlie advice without judging her for being bi, or for Vaggie being a former angel. She even knows Alastor is ace without him getting the hint. We got to know two nonjudgmental queens. Rosie should offer therapy as a side business.

I'm with you about Alastor wanting Charlie to remove the leash around his neck. If its Lilith that owns his soul...I can't see it ending well. And damn, these songs are all amazing. As for Vaggie, I think when she found her desire to protect those she loved, she regained her wings. I could very easily see the power of love and the desire to protect being an angelic thing.

I believe I saw on a Hazbin lore video from Cartoon Universe's channel that sinners normally just regenerate if they are wounded by normal means, get shot, the bullet wound will seal itself, lose a limb, the limb will grow back. Unless their physical form is literally ripped to shreds, vaporized, disintegrated, or as you mentioned with the cannibals, eaten, that's when they respawn/remanifest somewhere else in hell, as their physical form is either to damaged to regenerate or can't regenerate in the digestive track of another sinner. Angelic steel is the only way to permanently wound/cripple and or kill a sinner, as angelic weapons prevent regeneration which we can see by how Vaggie's eye hasn't regenerated, which was cut out by an angelic blade

With the power that the Overlords have, not only can they own souls, they can take souls as like in Alistor's case, he will rip out a soul and eat it. You can also tell someone's status by the color of the eyes. Yellow= Hell born, Red eyes=You can or do own souls, Black eyes = your soul is owned...
Angel has one black eye because Valentino only owns him in the studio, the rest of the time he's free. Lucifer has no problem killing Adam because Lucifer is a higher level of Angel, often described as the most beautiful of angels. He was an Arc-Angel equal to Michael.
I also think Alastors' deal is with Lilith is quite suspicious they both have been gone the same amount of years. I really think Alastor is so pleasant with Charlie to gain his favor and the deal she made with her is gonna play against Lilith most likely. To free him probably.
I’m at 9:44 and I have to disagree on one thing. And it’s the deal with Alastor. I don’t think alastor is the type to lie without enough reason to do so. And I don’t think all his deals end badly. Don’t forget alastor has never manipulated Charlie into making the deal in the pilot or even forced her to make a deal. At least not exactly the way it’s normally done where they promise everything you could ever want and even left Charlie’s soul alone the very thing that could alastor more powerful then he already is. I think this favor might have something to do with alastor’s predicament. I mean think about it. Just because alastor is strong doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t have him on a leash. And there could be other things as well. This favor has 50/50 odds of being good or bad. And personally I trust alastor more then I trust the angels so. Like alastor straight up fought to defend this place on multiple occasions. Sure not in a great way. But he’s genuinely trying and when we see him alone with nifty he genuinely seems to care about the place so again. Even odds. It may not be as bad as you think (sorry I just really like theorizing. I should probably also mention I’m not the best judge of character so don’t take everything I say as if it’s fact)

Like, I haven't done an extremely deep dive into the lore, but I'm assuming that since the bodies they're in are definitely not the bodies that they had in life, that the body gets digested just like any other food, but their souls respawn somewhere else, and they get new bodies by the same process that they got them when they died the first time.
Why is nobody commenting on how Susan nodded her head to Charlie? It's like the actually old queen of England bowing her head to Diana?
I'd complain that falling for a blank check deal is obnoxiously unrealistic, but.... never underestimate how dumb people can act. Still, you'd think that leaving the price to-be-determined would be an obvious red flag that someone is trying to take advantage of you. They ARE in hell.

Why does nobody haggle when a deal is presented? If someone is proposing a deal, that means you have something they want and often downplay the value of whatever it is you have in order for you to not think of the deal as important. Press your leverage when this happens, if it is something they really want they will haggle.
You asked if vaggie and Carmilla have more more of a relationship than you know, and you know, I’ve started to think about that and I wonder if Vaggie could be Carmilla’s daughter. If you think about it, it actually makes sense. Imagine Vaggie lived just enough more virtuously that, when whatever killed her, Carmilla, and her sisters happened, she went to heaven while her mother and sisters went to hell. Her feeling more at home in hell, and that it’s where people who understand her are, would make perfect sense if she lived her mortal life raised and surrounded by sinners. It could explain both her mercy and the brutality Adam mentioned. Brutality because of anger over the things that she saw or experienced in life, and the mercy because they’d still be the sort of people she knew, and she could understand and empathize with them in a way most angels couldn’t.
It would also fit wonderfully with how she and Carmilla seem to be so much on the same wavelength, both in “Whatever It Takes” and in other things. And, while Carmilla’s protectiveness towards her daughters is already understandable, if she was only able to find two of her three children after dying, it makes even more sense. As for why she doesn’t recognize Vaggie. Well, aside from the obvious fact that people’s appearances change after death, we know Adam renamed her so that would add a layer of confusion. As far as Vaggie not recognizing Carmilla goes, well, I’m suspicious as heck about what actually goes on in heaven so I’m willing to accept that there’s a reason and we just don’t know it yet.
But yeah, there’s just symmetry between those two that would work perfectly for a mother daughter relationship. Vaggie climbs to one of the top spots in the exorcists while Carmilla rose to become an overlord. In the previous song, Vaggie has the same attitude and even sings the same words about protecting and taking care of those she loves, which could just be a song thing, but could also be the result of having been raised by Carmilla. And then, as you mention, there's the way they always seem to be paired up.
Honestly, I’m really hoping this is the case. Charlie has a loving father in Lucifer, but Vaggie really doesn’t have anyone other than Charlie. It would be great if Vaggie ended up having a mom like Carmilla.

@cr820 I believe that she thought only angels could harm each other. She nor the rest of the heaven people didn't know that they could be harmed by sinner (overlords) in hell by their own weapons.
Technically speaking with how vauge the deal was and what they agreed on Charlie if she wasn't so nice can deny pretty much anything if he says "free me from my contract", Charlie could say well that would result in you hurting people. Now we know Charlie is too nice and trusting to do that.
If Vaggie had stubs of her former wings...I suspect Charlie would have noticed when they were having sex, long hair or not. Also when Angel Dust indicated angels were "liars" at the start, I suspect that was partially aimed at the angel in the room, Vaggie. (Your calling them c%&ts suggests you weren't thinking of her.) PS: Vaggie had her eye stabbed out and her wings chopped off (by an angelic weapon) yet she fights like someone who is unafraid of being harmed. I was surprised Vaggie didn't realize how angels could be killed given she was almost killed.

and about the eating people,if the body of a sinner is unable regenerate they simply respawn where they first appeared in hell after a while
