@@emmaparsons5144 you missed the irony of the point @canadian content was making. We don't have forward passes in rugby but it was so obviously forward, they could have been playing American football where you are permitted one forward pass per snap

Yeah pass was forward, but realistically we (Quins) werent the best team in that game and we were lucky that Sale had some pretty major mistakes made in kicking and catching at restart. Well done Sale
@@mjgclutch hence why I said it - read my comment, pause at 4:04, (or 47:17 on the match clock) and see the high shots fire in - and they are high. Tuilagi comes in over the 11's shoulder, straight in head to head. And Sale 4 was aiming for similar but he was very fortunate that the Quins player was falling away - quite clearly both cheap shot merchants, poor show

I'm a big fan of Tuilagi, but he does have a tendency to lose his head/brain fart sometimes and he quite clearly does here.
@@purplepotato3592 I did. He makes contact with the back almost a foot from the head. Bit of a moot point without photo evidence anyway!! Tough balance for an abrasive centre between being out of control and not playing to strengths.
ref and the TMO had a below average game. This is the highlights and you can see at least 3 or 4 shoulder shots from Tuilagi. Someone at Sales needs to put an arm round him and guide that out of his game. Also, the pass for the linebreak for the first try was at least a yard forward.
If the ref isn't going to penalise forward passes, he really needs to tell both teams. The first Sale penalty was dodgy too - penalised for trying to get out. A yellow card that should have been red, and he ignored the elbow by blue 11. Absolute howlers by the ref, that made the difference to the result. So bad, in fact, I wonder if money changed hands.
I am sorry but at this level how could they miss the forward pass which lead to the 1st try. Saw it right away did not even need to see the replay to know is forward. At this level is really unacceptable!!
Is it just me or is anyone else a bit fed up with the rolling maul over the line. Firstly it stifles creativity Secondly isn't everyplayer in front of the ball carrier technically either obstructing or offside. This type of try should only three points due to the innability of the opposition to gain fair access to the ball. Maybe the forwards will stop beefing up muscle as well they are too big.
I was thinking something similar when watching the maul... but came to the opposite conclusion - to stop it, the opposition need to commit more defenders, creating more space elsewhere on the pitch, and leading to a more expansive game... maybe?
Good game but gutted for the loss, sale forward pass missed, high tackle that should have been a red Certainly would have changed the game But you can’t give away 20 odd penalties and always win!
1st sale try was miles forward how TMO missed it is a joke
Came here to say that 😱
because the TMO is only supposed to look at tries if the ref asks for it
but yeah I agree
Yup. All black rules applied.
Consider it karma for the Bath try last season lmao
Man that quarterback must be happy with that 1st touchdown; nothing better than seeing a one yard pass turned into a 23 yard touchdown!
haha, brilliant

exactly how forward was that pass for the first try?.
Quarterback throws are less forward.
about 1m sideways and 0.5m forward, so between 25 and 30 degrees angle maybe
I guess it isn't forward if less than 45 degrees
Joe marler to blame for that miss 5:32 🤣

Wasn't Smith's tackle to make. Inside man should have had him.
