I think there should be a distinction between something like a landing page for a company and the Yale School of Art's obviously intentional brutalist methods.

Yeah, gotta give people space for expression. These examples are simply for educational purposes. ✌

Noy a fan of the Yale SOA site, but it did cause me to smell a library, and transport me back 20+ years ago using the computer in a library haha. Kind of fun but also anxiety inducing remembering how difficult and slow the internet was then haha

Can you make a video on the technicalities of giving the website design over to the client. Do you migrate their domain onto your own host? Do you send them the design and they stay on their hosting? How does the process look like.

Can you recommend some good books to master typography?

Funny, did you read the orange box on the left side? It reads: "This website exists as an ongoing collaborative experiment in digital publishing and information sharing. Because this website functions as a wiki, all members of the School of Art community-graduate students, faculty, staff, and alums-have the ability to add new content and pages, and to edit most of the site’s existing content." Very interesting.

I‘m pretty sire the people who designed the sites know the rules. But they don’t know how to break them for sure

Ugh. And the contrast on the first one is terrible. I can barely read the blue text.
