I went to high school with the guitarist, Duran -- though he used to be called "Haru" back then. Watching and hearing him perform in Tiny Desk for the second time feels good, mang.

B'z is the best-selling Japanese band of all time, and Inaba is an amazing artist and prolific solo artist in his own right too. Please look up his and the band's music--you're in for a treat! 60 years old and his voice still sounds as mesmerizing as always! Love that the setlist was adapted for Tiny Desk; they really understood the assignment of stripping songs down for such a setting.
As much as I had loved his works in 90s, I don't like the fact that he somehow made appearance on the npr Tiny Desk channel without actually having a live concert at npr (or getting enough reputation in the US to do so); to begin with I don't like the idea of "tiny desk concerts Japan" either. Still, I'm happy to listen to the first song from his first solo album "Magma" (1997), which was one of my favorites when I was an early teen. Live long!
