For those of the viewers who are not able to Set Motion in yuzu.. as in they see either "Set" or "Shake" in Yuzu for Motion, this worked for me - Open steam settings in desktop mode (steam not system) -> Controller -> desktop layout -> edit -> Gyro behavior -> As Mouse. After that cemuhook will be in available in the controller settings. Then save in yuzu. For CEMU - I had to open a game in Game Mode then Open Controller Settings -> Edit layout -> Go to Gyro -> Select Gyro Behavior -> Directional Pad -> Add command ->Action Sets -> Cleared from Parent.
Thanks for this. I dont have the cemuhook option, only "shake!" and "mouse", even after changing the gyro setting in steams desktop layout. When I click motion in yuzu, I can choose mouse or shake, but if I choose shake, it just switches back to mouse. Any help? How can I get cemuhook?
@@GrownUpGamingGUG yes, it does read data when I test. But the setting for Motion 1 is "Mouse". Is that what it should be? Because it's not working in-game.
@@GrushV2 try change the screen rotation, landscape to portrait or vice versa I can't remember. But you get it right? Turn the screen sideways so you have more real estate vertically.
if the button to link emuhook to motion doesnt show up for you, connect to an external monitor greater than 1080, make sure steam deck is using that resolution for external monitors, then open yuzu in desktop mode. move it over to your second monitor, open configuration, fullscreen, and there you go.
Thanks bro. I’ve been able to complete a gyroscopic puzzle in a shrine (BOTW/Cemu). Funny thing: I only had to install the gyro drivers via Emudeck, give the Deck a reboot and that was it! I didn’t have to enable gyro controls in the Steam overlay, the thing was already functioning well. So thanks bro 👊 😊
If someone have a problem of a "drifting " gyro i mean the gyro turning all the way to left or right you just have to calibrate from the steam deck settings
I have an issue with the latest version of Cemu where my gyro drifts every time I boot BotW. I can fix it by recalibrating the gyro (set deck down on flat surface, check levels close to 0.0) but I have to do this every time I start the game. Is there a work-around or fix?
I don't play a lot of PS3 games so I've never really tried it out, but I think it's doable. I need to find a game I would play that needs gyro to test. i just play virtual tennis 4 and fight night champion for PS3 right now 😂
Ive tried EVERYTHING, MULTIPLE TIMES ON DIFFERENT EMULATORS, IM ABOUT TO PULL MY FUCKING HAIR OUT! It works for everthing else, joystick, mouse, trackpad, just not natively at all. @GrownUpGamingGUG got it fixed, there's options hidden behind the controller map, the only to get to them was to hook up the steam deck up to an external monitor, then push down the STEAM button while pulling the soft L trigger to activate the gyro in the emulator.
Alright here’s a head scratcher for ya. Your guide helped me get the gyro totally working as intended for yuzu in Tears of the Kingdom. I also want to play Breath of the Wild, but I was recommended to run it through Cemu. It should already be set up, right? Well it is, sort of. BUT- For some reason, all of my inputs *except* the gyro are working from my controller. The Deck lying on my desktop has the gyro. So when I hold ZR on my Dualsense controller to draw the bow, or press the right stick to open up the viewfinder, only moving the Deck moves the gyro. What do you think can be done?
@@GrownUpGamingGUG I’m using the Steam Deck like a console. I have it hooked up to my monitor while I sit back with my dualsense controller to play. During trying to troubleshoot why my gyro wasn’t working, I discovered that when I moved my docked steam deck, it moved the gyro. One thing I tried last night was going into steam input and doing the cleared from parent thing for the Steam Deck *as well*, but unfortunately to no avail. Even if your experience is limited to only using the steam deck held in your hands, I can tell you the Gyro DSU thing works for other controllers and completely flawlessly for yuzu. But Cemu seems to have a strange issue with controller order and whatnot since the Wii U uses a gamepad. Except in this case it’s *mixing* which controller gets gyro control for some reason, while everything else is working as it should on the dualsense.

All I had to do was *swap the emulated controllers of Controller 1 and Controller 2.* So under Controller 1, select Wii U Pro Controller (which the actual real controller doesn’t have a built-in gyro!), and give Wii U Gamepad to Controller 2. Boom, fixed! Just gotta disabled steam input and we’re golden (had to do this for totk as well). So now you know if anybody ever asks this again 😆
Anyone find a fix for Yuzu not showing "cemuhook" as a motion option? Tested the server and it passed, changed gyro to mouse in Steam settings. But nothing seems to work. Only options are "mouse" and "Shake!". I reset Emudeck and saw "cemuhook" once but it never came back once I cycled through the options again. Super weird and definitely frustrating.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG So I reinstalled EmuDeck on a new SD Oled. Everything updated. YUZU updated. Then installed via EmuDeck Gyro. Rebooted again. There is movement in the settings. When I click on the server test it works. When I start a game it doesn't work. Under controller settings in the SD menu, Gyro says None. No matter what I choose: stick, mouse, control pad. Nothing works. Even if I use your video instructions it doesn't work. I had a Steam Deck LCD here 8 months ago and it worked immediately without any problems without having to change anything.

On Dolphin, when I change the device to DSUclient/0/steamdeckgyro, none of the other inputs work AT ALL. I can't even map the inputs, bc ONLY gyro works.
Honestly emudeck is kinda broken. One time I launched it and it asked for an update, crashed and been broken since and I cant bother installing it again.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG It was Cemu, but I found out that I had to select the Wii U Gamepad to be used with Breath of the Wild for Gyro to work for it! So I figured that out at least, however regarding Yuzu, I have gyro working with the Deck handheld controls but when I'm docked and want to use a bluetooth controller (ps4 dualshock), despite going through these steps I can't seem to get the controller gyro to work. Still works great when in handheld mode when using the Deck though at least, but if you have any ideas I'm all ears
@@n0boddyy I had to open yuzu and set the game's control scheme to Wii U Controller (not the pro controller) because the Wii U pro controller apparently didn't have gyro, only the tablet controller did. I set it do it only when BotW is running because the other games I have won't be playable if it thinks I'm using the tablet

cemuhook is not needed now. did you test the motion server in yuzu? did it succeed?

I'm not understanding your issue. You're using dual sense controller and steam deck controller? I only play with steam deck controller.

Yes, it worked before. I guess steamOS updates broke it somehow. Lucky there is a work around that make it work again.

gyro shouldn't be set to mouse in controller settings, try following the video again. probably uninstall everything and start from scratch.

it seems this menu is hidden and the only option is to tab, shake and hit enter on an off screen button! bind tab and enter to back buttons

1) try maximize the yuzu emulator window and 2) play botw with cemu is much better!

I'm still using gyro with this method and playing totk of yuzu. You probably need to troubleshoot what went wrong.

When i try to put my sudo password in emu i get "password not provided" when i click install. does anyone know how to fix it?
open konsole, type "passwd" to setup your sudo password.
