I think it’s bc maybe in the Parisian battle scene it’s underground and with the inclusion w the twins maybe just maybe they are seen as American sellouts and bc they think they are better than everyone so there has been lots of bias throughout years favoring other dancers when les twins compete.

So 1. The fact that Laurent can hit the beat like Larry is crazy good. We all knew this from his Just Debut in China I believe when he was wearing the bucket hat. But that first round of his was golden So 2. The illusions they always come up with and do is crazy good as well. The pole that Larry created was a great addition and they are always good with this. It sets them apart for sure So 3. I notice that a lot of the other dancers that are pairs try to be like Les Twins when it comes them trying to put on this synchronizing act before they actually start dancing. It's actually very very cringe and doesn't work for them, which leads me to my next 'So'. So 4. They crowd started booing at Laurent for cutting them off. But they danced for a whole 40 seconds I believe and then I heard 3...2...1 which means they are done with their round. Laurent didn't cut them off, they were supposed to stop dancing. They didn't, so Laurent came in. That's how battle dancing works. There's no hold hands Kumbaya shit. When people made the face and noise he was pointing at his watch because their time was done. That's not a boo. Respect the rules and your opponents when it's time to stop dancing. The other team wasted their time in the beginning of the round making weird faces in each other face instead of dancing and getting their routine out. Oh well. Make it part of the dance or don't do it at all.

Props to Junior and Tahiti...its quite unfortunate that Les twins where also in this competition otherwise they would have easily won the whole thing..
The competition is getting harder and harder but the level of difficulty still goes to Les Twins. They move super rapid and transition between style by suddenly doing these wild moves very quick and take up a lot of air realstate. That makes the difference. They use their height and length very well to utilize the the audiences totals viewership realstate.
Both team are crazy, shout out to French dancers 🔥 Larry blaze crazy first round it was already enough to win and Lau last one was 🔥. The time was over for Junior and the rules has been explained in the beginning so yes Laurent started to dance. BTW Junior and Tahiti were very respectful and Les twins also during all the battles. We should all be happy to continue to see those 2 Les twins dancing at this level and inspiring new generations 😍 Ho yes and for me if you don’t like Les twins for me you don’t like dance ; it’s like if you like basketball and you don’t like Jordan no way !
People booed because Laurent started dancing when Junior and Tahiti still had 3 seconds left. There's a rule where if you cut someone off you lose 30 seconds of time, HOWEVER in this video you can clearly hear the MC counting down from 3 WAY too early which prompted Laurent to start dancing. Also whether it matters or not to cut them off 3 seconds at the end when they're already done, I guess depends on personal opinion.
No, they said 3...2...1.. and were still dancing. That's when Laurent came in. Re watch the video lol 5:20 are you watching the same video. He said 3...2... and then something and THEN laurent walked over there. The crowed booing was uncalled for when the opponents went over their time...

Great to see all of these great dancers reunited in a big event like this. BUT, once again, there were problems with the rules. I appreciate the effort to make the competition something fresh, but it's getting out of hand. They could've learned with 2019's edition. Standard 2v2 battles with 1 dancer from each duo dancing the same song would be less confusing and more fair. Don't mean to hate on the organizers. I hope this is seen as constructive criticism. Still, these dancers are so good that it was still a delight to watch. Congrats Les Twins and Tahiti/Junior.
Ya this format really seemed to favor choreo rather than straight freestyle with those time rules which does create those clip worthy moments, but ultimately makes it where the competition loses its roots as a freestyle event. Like you said they wanted to try something fresh, but in my honest opinion it feels worse than previous years. This year was basically unintentionally made for the twins to win because their synchronicity is hard to match. Dancers like Slim Boogie, JaJa, Junior etc who are more used to solo events kind of suffer in this kind of rule set.
@@WubzZz- I was actually refering to the time each duo had, les twins were complaining a lot during matches cause the organizers kept forgiving to keep track of the time. Also i believe it’s not a great choice to let a duo go for 2 rounds in row since the other duo will dance to a different song.

This format was a mess because routines added time to your round as well as takes time from your opponents, which is why you saw so many routines this year and all that time being subtracted and added was going to cause a lot of confusion. The Twins have a lot of routines under their belt so they were going to use that rule to their advantage which is why they got frustrated that the organizers were messing up with keeping track of the time. Also a lot of dancers that are used to just doing solo stuff and not a lot of routines were going to suffer cuz they were just going to keep losing time from their rounds. Plus the random song changes were too chaotic.

Terrific battle for me, Larry sold his 1/2 of the round, maybe I need to go back and rematch with headphones, but it looked like Laurent redeemed them and got the dub People started to boo, because they thought the cut them off. But the MC already counted down so Laurent started dancing, if it was an issue then the MC would have at the least made a face of disgust or something, even the lady in the blue looked up at the timer and was like OHHH okay I see time was over I dont know if the crowd wanted them to just let them finish even though the clock hit 0 or what, but if you're in a battle, Im not letting shit slide that could cost the whole thing, ESPECIALLY in the finals. That's like admitting the ball went out on you, after your team already got possession, when you're playing basketball 😂😂 Also people get saying the twins are disrespectful by that's just battle energy. I think the problem is Laurent was listening to the MC's countdown but it was incorrect. If you look closely, the female MC is actually pointing out that there's time left on the other team's counter. And notice, the female MC gestures to the male MC as he's counting down as to correct him, something like a "No bro, chill", and also, that same MC does not conclude the countdown with "1", but I think mid-countdown tries to rectify his mistake and says something to the likes of "still 5" or something. Not to mention he double checks the clock as he makes that correction. It's on the MC and Laurent for misunderstanding. ALSO I would like to say I am huge Les Twins fan, admittedly only watching the battles they're in for this event, and I just want to say I think the confusion of this event + the Twins' tendency to act upon their (well-deserved) hubris put them in the wrong this time. I'd love to see what the timer actually said though. This is just what I think actually happened putting together the details we see from these angles

People booed because Laurent started dancing when Junior and Tahiti still had 3 seconds left. There's a rule where if you cut someone off you lose 30 seconds of time, HOWEVER in this video you can clearly hear the MC counting down from 3 WAY too early which prompted Laurent to start dancing. Also whether it matters or not to cut them off 3 seconds at the end when they're already done, I guess depends on personal opinion.

@@aguythatsrandom they didn't go over their time though. Each team gets 2 rounds of combined 3 minutes and Led Twins got 3 rounds of combined 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Great to see all of these great dancers reunited in a big event like this.
BUT, once again, there were problems with the rules.
I appreciate the effort to make the competition something fresh, but it's getting out of hand. They could've learned with 2019's edition.
Standard 2v2 battles with 1 dancer from each duo dancing the same song would be less confusing and more fair.
Don't mean to hate on the organizers. I hope this is seen as constructive criticism.
Still, these dancers are so good that it was still a delight to watch.

Ya this format really seemed to favor choreo rather than straight freestyle with those time rules which does create those clip worthy moments, but ultimately makes it where the competition loses its roots as a freestyle event. Like you said they wanted to try something fresh, but in my honest opinion it feels worse than previous years. This year was basically unintentionally made for the twins to win because their synchronicity is hard to match. Dancers like Slim Boogie, JaJa, Junior etc who are more used to solo events kind of suffer in this kind of rule set.
@@WubzZz- I was actually refering to the time each duo had, les twins were complaining a lot during matches cause the organizers kept forgiving to keep track of the time.
Also i believe it’s not a great choice to let a duo go for 2 rounds in row since the other duo will dance to a different song.
@@Boss-lp9ce IK what you were referring to and thats why I said what i said. This format was a mess because routines added time to your round as well as takes time from your opponents, which is why you saw so many routines this year and all that time being subtracted and added was going to cause a lot of confusion. The Twins have a lot of routines under their belt so they were going to use that rule to their advantage which is why they got frustrated that the organizers were messing up with keeping track of the time. Also a lot of dancers that are used to just doing solo stuff and not a lot of routines were going to suffer cuz they were just going to keep losing time from their rounds. Plus the random song changes were too chaotic.

Why was Laurent allowed to start and end the battle? And how long are these rounds supposed to be?
I heard they changed the rules and structure around a little bit... no real round, just 3 minutes total for both team and some other dynamics.
3 minutes for each team and they can stop whenever they want and i think when the dance do something and the crowd likes, the other team loses time

Terrific battle for me, Larry sold his 1/2 of the round, maybe I need to go back and rematch with headphones, but it looked like Laurent redeemed them and got the dub
People started to boo, because they thought the cut them off. But the MC already counted down so Laurent started dancing, if it was an issue then the MC would have at the least made a face of disgust or something, even the lady in the blue looked up at the timer and was like OHHH okay I see time was over
I dont know if the crowd wanted them to just let them finish even though the clock hit 0 or what, but if you're in a battle, Im not letting shit slide that could cost the whole thing, ESPECIALLY in the finals.

I think the problem is Laurent was listening to the MC's countdown but it was incorrect. If you look closely, the female MC is actually pointing out that there's time left on the other team's counter. And notice, the female MC gestures to the male MC as he's counting down as to correct him, something like a "No bro, chill", and also, that same MC does not conclude the countdown with "1", but I think mid-countdown tries to rectify his mistake and says something to the likes of "still 5" or something. Not to mention he double checks the clock as he makes that correction. It's on the MC and Laurent for misunderstanding.
ALSO I would like to say I am huge Les Twins fan, admittedly only watching the battles they're in for this event, and I just want to say I think the confusion of this event + the Twins' tendency to act upon their (well-deserved) hubris put them in the wrong this time.
I'd love to see what the timer actually said though. This is just what I think actually happened putting together the details we see from these angles

It's crazy that the last round Junior & Tahiti Bob got 30 seconds less than Les Twins and that Les Twins got a 3rd round when Junior & Tahiti Bob didn't. Les Twins 2nd round starts at 2:52 and ends at 4:35 while Junior & Tahiti Bob 2nd starts at 4:40 and ends at 5:29. Let me make this clear I watched this video because I like Les Twins.
