    Guthrie started touching guitars around the age of three, and spent most of his early years playing jazz gigs. He's had great technique for decades now.

    I enjoy Mr. Govan's playing as much as the rest of y'all, but seriously, where are the "clinic" parts of this? There are videos of him playing all over, but I want to hear his speak (other than with his hands...). Thumbs up anyway, cuz hell yes, GG!

      Britt Rossman: _"clinic??"_
      You misunderstand. This concert took place on a hospital ward.

    36:12 that lick is absolutely ridiculous. It's like a dominant9/minor6th arpeggio over the 4 chord played at lightning speed with insane accuracy, sounds sooo good.

    He is famous Ignacio. Amongst the people who appreciate players, not the general public cattle. They wouldn't know anyways. I'm disappointed whoever posted the video cut out the talking. Well done. Silly move

      The guitar he is playing during Ner Ner (18:15) is indeed a Sugi, not a PRS. Sugi SH486. He needed a guitar to put in drop D tuning for that song

  • @firks1991
    @firks1991 12 лет назад

    weird seeing him play a PRS!

    how was this clinic made in 2004 while the album came out in 2006 O.o

    • @daddywhetz
      @daddywhetz 6 лет назад +4

      aly maher many of his compositions were made when he was in his 20's. Bad Asteroid and Waves are prime examples of that. The fact that he recorded those songs in 2006 means that he hadn't had the opportunity or intention to do so before.
