He's always turned down relative to many other live bands, reminiscent (but probably more apparent) to their philosophy on mixing tracks. He would sound louder in the 90s and early 2000s shows when he had insane screaming pipes, but before/around 10,000 Days is where I noticed his volume dropping. With that said, I think performance-wise they sound incredible for 2023, considering he told Carson Daly in 2010 that his early albums set the bar too high, rendering his voice toast.
@Vaerah That's a great summary. He said in an interview he can either scream all night or sing all night, but the transitioning between the two is difficult.
They sounded fricken awesome that night. I was on the other side of the stage in front of the big screen where the sign language lady was. She was rockin too.
As much as I love trippin listening to Tool, every song being a masterpiece...I wouldnt pay a thousand bucks to see maynard dressed in...god knows what...I think he just got to weirdo for me.... Good concert nonetheless
So badass. Nice to see MJK at eye level and Adam Jones rocking out a bit 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Theyre incredible live! And I love the middle finger Meynard gave to Mini Hitler.

Awesome video! Little hard to hear Maynard. Is that just coming through on the recording? Or in person is it hard to hear him too?
I think the amount of bass right up front distorts the recording. They sounded incredible.

It's a fucking cellphone getting hit with a giant wall of sound. Do you expect it sound good?
