About three years ago on a lark I decided to do an “old Timey beauty routine like my grandma used to do. Products I used were. 1. Noxzema classic clean for cleansing 2. Old-school oil of Olay as a moisturizer(Yes the one in the pink bottle like your grandma or your mom used to use) 3. A light layer of Vaseline at night as a night cream. My skin has never been as soft as blemish free. Now I’m fortunate that I have pretty good skin to begin with but this beauty routine? Well there’s a reason that our grandmas did it. Recently I have been trying out more “classic cosmetics” and got into creampuff because I heard Marilyn Monroe used it. The first time I opened it the scent brought back memories of my grandmother definitely. This powder does not pretend to be modern. But it really gives a beautiful sheer soft finish. Like you said in the video it is not Cakey or heavy. It wore all day without settling into the pores or fine lines. Grandma products for the win!
I'm glad she said that about the powder on the nose. I've always just powdered the shine on my nose because I thought I was supposed to but I too felt that maybe it made me look overpowdered.
I love Max Factor creme puff the shades I use are Candle Glow and Tempting Touch they are lovely shades which suit my complexion. I apply my face powder which a powder puff I don't get on with brushes. I have used Max factor for years and my late mother always used it. 💓
Hi there, would these shades suit a light medium cool skin tone? not orangy? I want to buy online but there is no information on shades and what skin tones they would suit 🫤
I bloody love creme puff! My love was conformed when I was at a residential training course with work a few months ago, and a very glamorous fellow delegate said to me, "your skin is so amazing and glowing, what do you do?". I had simply used Max Factor Panstick as a concealer and Creme Puff! I want to try the golden one now, and a tan one for bronzing I think : ) x
hey girl, first timer here ;) sorry if I´m rude, just wanted to tell you I´m glad you haven´t gotten your front teeth "fixed" I keep mine too, and in Africa, it´s a sign of good luck
I've used this powder for years now and I always get compliments on how good my skin looks. It is hard to find, however. I lived in Kuwait and it was readily available there.
I ordered some hair products from KMS today and when I saw you in their pictures I got reeaaallly excited!! You're such a lovely person and I just really enjoy watching your videos.
This video sure brings back memories. Max Factor Creme Puff was the first ever powder I started using in my late teens (over 22 years ago *yikes*). I used shade #55 Candle Glow for years, until I discovered MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. As I remember it covered my broken capillaries and redness pretty well. Completely forgot about it until now. Perhaps I should give it a try again!
My Nan, God rest her soul, used to use Max Factor pressed powder and only Max Factor pressed powder regliously. I remember using my pocket money to buy her some as gifts when I was little....ahh memories.
Love this video, very helpful! Please do another natural, dewy and glowy everyday makeup tutorial soon! Absolutely love when you do them kind of looks :)
Wow! Ruth I truly enjoyed this video. Not only do you look great but I learned quite a few new tips from Caroline! :) I really appreciate it, thanks so much!!! Can you just clarify the part about powdering the cheeks? She did say towards the end that it's good to powder downwards on the cheeks but then you said not to?
Loved the tips they're so useful, especially for my downy furry face...think I'm turning into a care bear!!! :/ I hope you're going to continue with the detective series it's really interesting!
heey fluffy, I must say it tends to make you whiter and I`m quite light(from DK) this is "Rimmel´s" powder I´m talking about, but I think if you are dark, choose a tinted one. :)

Your hair looks quite pretty curled! And I'm digging the minimal makeup look. You should continue your makeup detective series!
I've used this powder for years now and I always get compliments on how good my skin looks. It is hard to find, however. I lived in Kuwait and it was readily available there.

Elementary! I loved those two tips; especially the nose and taking any excess off!

You look gorgeous with this hair style. Can't wait for the tutorial. ^^
The one place I always powder is my nose, and I will continue to do so, don't agree with the greasy nose look at all.
What are you wearing on yours LIPS when she is doing your makeup?!?!?! STUNNING!!! x from the U.S.
It's a Zoeva one - basically when I moved I only had that set out, so I keep using them. They are nice though, actually. Very well-priced. x
