And that Aston is gorgeous; just so subtle in its beauty. And you look great in your light and breezy, free-flowing, colorful/vibrant dress - it's just fits perfectly on your personality. That V12 sounds wonderful. You don't even have to go full chat for it to put a smile on my face!😁 I really enjoyed hearing Ian's insight on his career, especially as the designer of so many cars I really appreciate the aesthetics of.
The sound of that V12, OMG! Great interview as always, Jodie. You truly do get the best from them because you are naturally at ease and that puts them at ease too.
A few years ago I was at a car show and I saw a few Aston Martin vanquish's parked up and I was amazed by the beauty of the overall design, you see the on film but seeing one in the flesh,Wow!

Another fabulous Sweet Shop episode, Jodie. Keep 'em coming. Have to say, at 22:28 I love that you acknowledge "wives" using alloys as kerbside parking alignment devices! That did make me (and my wife actually) laugh out loud!
Hi Jodie Good video as per usual , such an unassuming guy and you always get the best out of these guys during your interviews, a natural affection for each other and no wonder all the guys in the office turned when you told Ian you loved him , I’m positive they were all jealous of him and who could blame them Regards Davy 🇹🇭 Xxx
My inspiration was seeing two silver XK120s stopped in the middle of our little village in the wilds of West Wales when I was about five. Turns out they were being driven by Stirling Moss and Sheila Van Dam. Thirty odd years later I joined Jaguar, and ten years later joined Aston Martin. Was part of the team that developed and built the Vanquish under the leadership of Bob Dover at Newport Pagnell. Then on to Gaydon for the DB9 and V8 Vantage all penned by you know who. A truly great designer. I loved the original Vanquish and absolutely adore the Calum redesign. I've had a bit of a dream time really I suppose and as the man said worked with some awsome people. People have no idea how complex and interesting the automotive industry is. Thank you to you both for making it so so informal and interesting. No ego no bullshite.
Love this. Thanks, Jodie. I think I will have to take my little piece of Callum design (f-type) for a spin before the sun disappears. I may have to look into these chairs as well! Much love.
Seriously, can car design come up with something more beautiful than this car. I doubt it. It must be as close to perfection as one can get. Thank you for sharing the experience Jodie. Love your work.
Love guys like Ian Callum, great British design and engineering, really liked the detail on the Vanquish. I wonder if we will ever see the triple wing, on a Callum car.

That Vanquish was at Goodwood a couple of years ago. It was great to see the design finally get the engineering it deserved. I was very inquisitive and the guys were very happy to chat about it. Great chit chat...as always
That Vanquish is one of the best designs in 90's car history in my opinion . I had a short moment in one some years ago and was blown away by it . Only thing ... the build quality of the interior was not brilliant ... and the interior design a bit out of date , "but" what a fantastic car and a gorgeous soundmachine .Thanks for your video !

Great Video, nice to hear from the original designer. What I love about this vanquish is the long distance from the A-pillar to the center of the front wheel which gives that long hood stance.

That metallic red is probably the best colour I've seen on a Vanquish and the updates Sir Ian (aka God) has done are just right. They're well considered and add to its beauty, and it looks so much better out on the road too. It just sits right. Talking of roads, about halfway through I realised where you were driving. Apart from that area having some quite decent roads, I have a couple of my older cars stored very close by - and I really should go over and take them out for a spin before the weather turns!
