The fact your so knowledgeable, mean's you ask all the right questions and in return get the best interviews, love your channel Jodie, should have been a part of the new top gear, i reckon you and J-Kay would have crushed it with Chris Harris, now just a comedy show with super cars.

Just so "for real" - I love your natural interaction(s) with people, it's so refreshing. Once again, it was like riding along in the car and touring the facility with you and your guest. And that Aston is gorgeous; just so subtle in its beauty. And you look great in your light and breezy, free-flowing, colorful/vibrant dress - it's just fits perfectly on your personality.
Mr. Callum is a true designer, no idea he works across a spectrum of mediums - he truly managed to fulfill his childhood dream of merging art and design. Another great show. Thanks for sharing.

My inspiration was seeing two silver XK120s stopped in the middle of our little village in the wilds of West Wales when I was about five. Turns out they were being driven by Stirling Moss and Sheila Van Dam. Thirty odd years later I joined Jaguar, and ten years later joined Aston Martin. Was part of the team that developed and built the Vanquish under the leadership of Bob Dover at Newport Pagnell. Then on to Gaydon for the DB9 and V8 Vantage all penned by you know who. A truly great designer. I loved the original Vanquish and absolutely adore the Calum redesign. I've had a bit of a dream time really I suppose and as the man said worked with some awsome people. People have no idea how complex and interesting the automotive industry is. Thank you to you both for making it so so informal and interesting. No ego no bullshite.

That metallic red is probably the best colour I've seen on a Vanquish and the updates Sir Ian (aka God) has done are just right. They're well considered and add to its beauty, and it looks so much better out on the road too. It just sits right. Talking of roads, about halfway through I realised where you were driving. Certainly sounds the business once on the move! Ian Callum in his relaxed manner, reminds me of Tom Karen from Ogle Design , he who designed the Reliant Scimitars , Yes the Reliant Robin too ( forgive me, I’m not making a comparison in cars here) , but it seems these guys who are very vocational in their work , doing something in the way of art form are very relaxing in their way are addressing their ideals to others . What a lovely way to be! Tom of course designed all sorts from Seiko watches and white goods for the kitchen , not just cars, just like Ian . Lovely interesting video again, Jodie

I sent a drawing to David Brown in the early 1960's as a 10 year old and he returned a lovely letter that l think l have tucked away somewhere . My boss had a DB7 Vantage that he let me drive . It was basically the XJ6 floor pan with the Ford V12 mated to a manual gearbox. Must say it was rather agricultural to drive but lovely to look at. I should have persued my passion for car design but my Grammer School did not encourage it . Thankyou Jodie and thankyou lan .

I first saw the original AM Vanquish at the London Docklands motor show … it was parked in the atrium of the tower building (shared with a Zonda!!) … it was not advertised as being present and took my breath away … I sat and admired that car from several angles. The refinement brought in design and performance are amazing. Sadly, whilst one ‘might’ afford to buy a stock car, the bespoke refurbishment costs make this unobtainable …

Compared to even the current breed of Astons its the interior refresh that really stands out on this model … all the panel alignment, stitch lines are just beautiful … take a look at the DBS for examples of how not to align interior trim … even the luggage is lovely (apart from the dragging across the roof 😢)

Isn't it interesting how original designers like Ian Callum and Gordon Murray (Mclaren F1, not that I had to remind you of which production Mclaren Gordon designed, lol!!) criticize their original designs...guess always looking for perfection! Another interesting vlog thanks Jodie.

@@KiddinaSweetShop I know...I was thinking the same thing. Gordons story growing up in Africa and his journey to the UK is really amazing.
