- Locoman Sounds has produced a brand new sound project for the Doehler & Haass sound decoder portfolio modelling the BR 'Britannia' 4-6-2. In the latest issue we show how to install the 8-pin version of the decoder into Hornby 'OO' gauge model together with working lamps and firebox flicker. Watch the finished model in action on our test track here.

These steam sound files are getting much better and coupled with the ever improving speaker technology they have lost that chuff, chuff, chuff sound and most now have a coast facility so it's not chuffing right up until it stops.
Great sound and very smooth running. With a little tasteful weathering, that loco would be perfect.
Excellent sound chip. Particularly enjoyed the whistles. Thanks for the video Mike.
Great video. Hope all of you keeping safe. Sounds fantastic.
The sound put a chill down my spine.
Fantastic sound!
Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Nice Train,Amazing" layout ,I love steam trains .Greetings from Indonesian🇲🇨 .
I was recently lucky enough to win an unused 70013 NRM edition from eBay. Just checked out your video and it sounds superb, so I shall fit the same. Luckily I always keep my Hornby Magazines so I can work from the step by step guide. Thanks for posting, and keep up the good work. Cheers. Vivian.
Wow I think I should add an em2 to my Hornby Black 5 but a double iphone speaker was a tight
Nice and I know the whistle sounds were recorded from No 70000 Britannia herself
Were you there when I was recording? Let me know thnx
@@locomansounds9869 No but I recognise Britannia's Whistle as I did rode behind Britannia at the Bluebell Railway and when she departed Victoria as Iron Duke feel free to look up my videos of Britannia and keep up the good work in doing the sounds of iconic engines
I want that for Christmas please! :-)
Muito legal este VAPORES
estou feliz por ter gostado
Absolutely no criticism of the sound, which is very Britannia-like, including the lovely chime whistles, but you don't have a Brit without clouds of white steam as th safety valves lift or grey smoke on acceleration. Can't be done in less than 12" to the foot!
Is there a live steam version of this
Could I add directional lights to a brake van would it be a dbl header and also dose a brake van run both directions
Um, why does thed sound file have a gresley a4 whistle?
Frosty Nerd Dude I don't know if all Brits carried a chime whistle in service but certainly both Britannia and Cromwell carry chime whistles today which do sound very similar to an A4 but this whistle sounds just about spot on to me.
Gresley A4
@@mikeuk4130 Do not forget that Mike used a speaker that penalised the high frequencies
@@locomansounds9869 No concerns here about the bass/treble balance from this loco's speaker, thanks. I was just trying to indicate, to another user who commented, the required level of reverence to Sir Nigel and his Streak by using the appropriate capitals in Gresley and A4. I think your sounds are fantastically realistic, and have commented elsewhere on RUclips to that effect. It was the Class 37 on......
